Babel was AMAZING! We got an upgrade to the apartment and it didn’t disappoint. So modern and clean, in the most traditional part of town. The sister restaurant below is also incredible. The only minor problem was communicating with the staff (it is unmanned), so we were a bit unsure how to check-in. But once we got in touch, everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay as this was near all amenities. There was a mini supermarket nearby, tourist attractions and the room we had had doors that closed off the noise from the busy main street. The place was on the second floor above the restaurant with a great shower, had a fridge and a mini area to prepare/store food. The only thing was bins weren't emptied daily but we could take that to a bin outside.

Our room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and the location is excellent. Everything is within easy walking distance and the Trasca restaurant just 50m served excellent tapas. I would recommend it however be aware, there is NO information available in the hotel as the front desk is deserted, the duvet cover was stained which we advised them of on the first night and the next evening they finally saw our message and wanted to leave it until we left but finally agreed and someone came to change it. This is also the only place we have ever stayed that did not have any soap in the shower or sink, never mind shampoo. Those last items were annoyances but didn’t impact our stay.

The space was just as adverstised, with easy communication via email. Accomondating our late check out was a life saver.

First, what we liked here. We loved that we were staying in the city center, close to metro, restaurants, monuments.. Quite a large room with 1 large bed and sofa, a little kitchen corner, and a bathroom. Very simplistic decoration, airy, we liked it. And the fresh fruit, delicious. Now what we didn't like. Mostly the noise of the air-conditioning and on the street (thanks to tourists from France and UK) just under the windows during the whole night (2am, 4.30am), every night (we stayed from Thursday to Monday). So basically, we were so tired as if we had partied ourselves. Definitely avoid if you want to get rest. Maybe better isolation, a thicker window may help. Then the sheets were not changed, and towels only the 3rd day because we asked. The pictures on the walls - a bit creepy, really didn't like it. And the black mold on the wall next to the window - something should be done about it. The sofa seemed quite old, with some stains, may be worth replacing. Better cups and bowls would be great. The breakfast was not waw, having to eat pastry and bread from the day before when there are bakeries very close by. Not enough butter and cheese for every day.

It is an uncomfortable apartment. It wants to be modern, but that industrial style seems furnished more with things found on the street than modern. When you entered it smelled strange. We don't know if it's from the apartment itself, humidity or the restaurant they have underneath. The worst of all was the bathroom, dark and without a shower tray. You bathe on the same floor and drain into a hole with a rubber brush. Incredible. Mold on the ceiling, in the rest of the bathroom it is impossible to see it with that color and so little light. The rooms with industrial plastic walls, as if they were containers. The beds are boxed in, making it difficult and uncomfortable to get in and out. At least the mattress was comfortable. The living room, with a table, two old chairs, a small armchair and a stool. Not practical for a family of four. It also had two uncomfortable armchairs (one of them completely cracked and covered with a sheet). If you wanted to rest a little, better directly in bed. The kitchen has a piece of furniture with insufficient kitchenware for a family, in addition to each cup, plate, glass... in a different way. It feels old. The microwave and mini refrigerator at the foot of the floor, quite uncomfortable. Coffee in a glass jar, to share with anyone. Breakfast is left at your door, in a basket the afternoon before. Good sweets, acceptable bread. We only saw a lady cleaning the room when we arrived (and we arrived half an hour later than check-in time). The owner speaks to you on WhatsApp, in English. And on the last day he doesn't even ask you how it went, he just reminds you to leave the fees with the keys 😒 The location saves him. But nothing else.
