A decent hotel but was disappointed that on arrival I paid an additional 30 Euros for a room with a balcony, its a pity I was informed that they expected it to rain for the whole duration of my stay, I unfortunately couldnt use the balcony at any point due to it being wet all he time, what a waste of money!!!!!

The service was amazing with a guide to the city as soon as we arrived. The facilities were great, minus the closure of the spa while we were there.

Very nice structure, fantastic room. Too bad the pool water is cold. However the spa is very nice. Recommended hotel.

My one night stay at the BessaHotel in Porto was very pleasant. The room was stylish, clean and modern, providing a comfortable environment. The experience at the pool was positive, especially as it had been raining all day, despite the disorganization caused by the constant occupation of the sun loungers by other guests who left without collecting their towels and occupying them uselessly. The central location, close to the Bulhão Metro, facilitated access to various points in the city. Quick service and without much bureaucracy. Would go back!! :)

We were really satisfied about our stay at Bessa Baixa. Would like to come back. It started wonderfull with the friendly information and the city map we were offered at reception. Luxury room. Very good breakfast. Nearby the city. I don't expect more. Really a fantastic stay. Thanks.

Excellent hotel in every way. Stylish, very comfortable, excellent food at hotel restaurant, luxury small indoor swimming pool,pleasant and helpful staff. Close to many tourist areas. Will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit.

Hotel was very nice, staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of hot and cold foods. Main areas and rooms of the hotel were very clean.swimming pool was very nice. The hotel is located close to the bolhao food market and shopping area's other areas are within reasonably close walking distance. A very good 4 star hotel.

We really had no complaints with the hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and even managed an early check in. The hotel is conveniently located for the metro and shopping district. The service, food facilities and staff were all excellent and couldn't do enough to help. I'd recommend anyone visiting Porto stay here.

The hotel was lovely in every sense. It was very modern, spotlessly clean and the facilities were excellent. Our room was lovely (could have provided a bit more storage for clothes) with a nice balcony. Aircon and Wi-Fi were excellent, The staff were all so lovely, especially in the restaurant. We ate in the restaurant in the evenings and the food was excellent in both value and quality. Out only criticism was the location of the hotel. It was a bit too far for us from the historic centre of Porto. The trek up and down to the river was really hard work, especially as it was extremely hot the week were visited and Porto was struggling with the wildfires, However it didn’t spoil our holiday as we walked down and got an Uber back which was only about 5 euros. Also the surrounding area wasn’t great and we couldn’t find any nice local restaurants to eat out in the evening without walking a fair distance. Again, not a huge problem as the food in the hotel was excellent. We’d definitely stay in the hotel again but ideally we’d want t9 be a bit closer to the centre of Porto

I visited Porto on a solo visit in August 2024 and stayed in this hotel for six nights. It is really quite difficult to find flaws - other than one -clothes storage and hanging space in the room was really quite limited- unless I missed something cleverly concealed. Putting this one minor point aside, the hotel is well situated - easy walking distance to the shopping areas. The staff were all very professional and friendly. The room was comfortable and quiet. WiFi was excellent and Porto is lovely city to visit. Oh - room servicing was excellent too. I had a lovely time chilling out - the trips up the Douro river are spectacular and to be recommended. Breakfast and bar service are excellent. Final point: I loved the mirror that turns into a TV!

I m coming there for business once a month and it s always perfect! People and rooms are great. Restaurant is super good and for sport the gym and pool are excellent. Location very close to the historical center.
