The fifth apartment we stay in Charlie in the last two weeks and now I can definitely say it was not a coincidence: this the worst administration I’ve seen in a so-called hotel in Porto Alegre. The last straw happened this morning. After a night with my neck itching, I realized that our pillows had no pillowcases. In other words, we were sleeping over pillows where hundreds of other people slept without ever been washed. It happened in the previous apartments here but I thought it was just a mistake. Well, what about these other mistakes: • no face towels • broken TV control (no TV) • hangers missing/stolen • no internet, despite entering the password successfully in four of the available Charlie networks with no internet connection • clogged and dirty shower (the former happened because of the latter since the heavy dirt started to came up from the flooded drain) • lots of flies in the bathroom, something I experienced and complained all the previous times here • the cheapest linen I ever slept in, as thin as a disposable one. This last one I can survive, but it just shows how cheap Charlie is. • one of these stays I saw one of the maids, who was looking for something under the bed, use a new pillow from the recently bed ready to receive new guests to use the cleaned pillow to knee on the floor while looking under the bed. Bottom line: if you plan to save some bucks to stay in Charlie, I’d recommend you to, at least, bring your own pillow covers and towels. You can always buy some disinfectant/bleacher to clean up your sink and shower to your regular standards.
