Hotels near Communications Museum in Porto Alegre

The hotel is located in the historic centre of Porto Alegre, and it is the best I found to have stayed in it, because from the beach to several places walking. The hotel is old, along with a strong smell of cigarette in the corridors and rooms ( guests do not respect and smoke inside). Breakfast is very simple/ the basic of a coffee to start the day. The hotel is located in the building ( 20 floors) well in the centre of POA,in a quite well-being avenue near the municipal market.The hotel has 2 elevators. The rooms are of paper, so you can listen to everything next door.The air is in the entrance, well above the door, and when used, it forms a water pool well in the entrance of the room.Some rooms do not have a fridge. It serves only for 1 / 2 nights ...for who is short” passing in POA! for the value charged there are certainly more positive accommodation.

Contra toda recomendación paramos en Porto Alegre....parar en Sao Gabriel o Pantano Grande equivale a menos hs de disfrutar en Canasvieiras al dia siguiente ya que la distancia y los radares hacen el viaje larguisimo. El hotel es lindo, grande, cómodo....ubicado en la zona del casco histórico. El mismo dia que llegamos baje a comprar comida, todos los locales cerrados o cerrando (18hs).....no sé si por la inseguridad que tanto dicen o por alguna normativa. Sl dia siguiente antes de salir pasamls por la iglesia y por la escalera similar a la Selaron del Rio a sacar unas fotos. Buen desayuno en el hotel. PD 1: tener muy buena señal de roaming en el celular o paciencia con el gps del auto para llegar bien, andan como locos en las calles PD 2: el hotel tiene estacionamiento en el mismo edificio pero increiblemente TERCERIZADO asi que a pagar 20reales ya que no queda otra opción

Hotel location & surroundings: Conveniently located in Buchon. There are many shops around, and it is convenient to go to Uber. Check-in, out and response: The check-in time has passed but the room is not ready for you to wait. The staff wasn't very friendly after the late check-in. Friendly staff at check out. Respond differently depending on the hotel staff Room condition: Overall modern and pretty. Great bed with lots of extra futons. It was cold because the weather was winter, but the room was colder than I thought. Please note that there is a lot of mold in the bathroom. The shower is not working properly and water leaks to the side. Hot water comes out very well. Cleanliness outside the bathroom is not bad. Other facilities: Breakfast quality is good. Fruits and various bakeries are available. Good for a relaxing breakfast. There are plenty of places to sit and relax inside the hotel.

When I arrived at the hotel, there were 5 staff in the room. I stayed about 15' waiting for being called (I was attended by a sixth person, a possible manager). The room with furniture and old systems, The bathroom is warm and the shower is decreasing spontaneously. A hotel with tradition that has been in time and now, in my opinion, decadent. I will never be home to this hotel anymore.

The hotel is just opposite the Alegre Port bus stop. It is especially suitable for passengers in transit. It is known that there are no trains in Brazil. Long-distance buses are the main means of transportation from the state capital to the cities in various regions. There are some clocks in the lobby that look like some ages and look very good. The reception English at the front desk was not bad in Brazil, and the service was very warm. The room is neat and tidy. Breakfast is on the back of the three-way, more typical Brazilian breakfast.

All right.Excellent location, 24-hour manufacturer service, very complete breakfast, several options zero lactose and gluten-free.Restaurant with various dishes and price accordingly.A kids area missing, because it doesn't have. In general, we have a lot of clean and comfortable beds, we have already hosted several times and we will surely return.

This is clearly a hotel that tries to provide a superior experience to the guest – fantastic location; very good, very well maintained room; very kind and attentive personnel; a pair of courtesy water bottles; Nespresso machine in the room... And then, everything is put to waste by a barrage of small but VERY annoying details: You arrive from the airport (counting on going to your room's restroom as soon as possible); receive your key; it works in the elevator... but not in the doorlock. You go back to the reception desk and the (authentically sorry) receptionist provides you with 2 keys, just in case (it is clearly a very common occurrence). It works, this time. Next day – not your last day of stay – you return from the workday and the keys (both of them) do not work again! Meaning it is not a problem with the keys but either a software or a human problem. When you finally get to the room, good luck if you want to call reception. Although there's a ”trendy” little prism over your bedside table informing the name of the cleaning lady of your room, there's nowhere you can find out the front desk number – it's not 0, 9, 1, * or # (it's *1, which I'm now informed is a standard in Porto Alegre; but then again, guests are usually from other places, right?). You finally get to talk to someone in the front desk, that informs you that there's no login or password to the wi-fi; you just have to fill up a form and will be logged in. You fill up the form (lots of info requests, including ID number, email etc.). Hit the ”Login” button. Comes a window: ”please check the 'accept conditions' box before connecting”. The 'accept' box is bellow the the login button AND bellow the screen line. Not only this, but all the (excessive) info you had typed in is lost – all the fields are emptied and you have to fill them up all over again. Time to checkout, it is 10:16 am and you want to have a cup of coffee before leaving. The breakfast ends at 10 am exactly and the coffee jars are probably the first to be taken away. You mention it to the checkout clerk and she gives you a free welcome (in this case farewell) drink voucher and you are able to ask a cup of espresso in the bar. This last event synthesizes the experience in the Quality Hotel: lots of effort to compensate for frustrations that could easily have been avoided in the first place, with a modicum of attention to the customer experience. I hope this feedback helps them do exactly that.

The hotel needs to improve a little, in the matter of the bread served at breakfast, which they don't want. No cheese bread had. After all, everything went very well.
