Motel 6 Portland, IN

The room was comfortable and clean. Clean towels were provided daily without having to ask. The coffee area was not stocked with condiments and the lids did not fit the cups. Also for safety purposes, I would like to have seen the side entrances only available to card holders for entry and also ground floor windows locked. We found out ours was unlocked as we were checking out.

The property was easy to get to and clean. Some of the lights in the room did not work and coffee that was suppose to be in the lobby in the am wasn't there.

The hotel had recently had a name change so am assuming it was re-purchased. There was building debris in piles on the outside of the building. Workers were lounging in what limited seating there was. I smelled cigarette smoke in the halls of the residential area (non-smoking facility). My room was very stark. There were no hand towels, wash rags, shower floor matt. There was no bedspread--just sheets and pillows on the bed. Even when I turned on the heat, it would run for a few minutes then shut off and the room became cold again. I asked for a blanket for the bed and the front desk person said to just turn up the heat. Clearly they are undergoing some type of renovation but they should have provided guests with a discount for the less than average conditions of the facility. I will not come here again.

There was not a coffee maker in the room. They had two ice machines but the snack vending machine was empty and the sodapop machine was out of order. No breakfast offerings of any kind. The flooring in the room was one x two foot vinyl "tiles." There was one paper cup by the bathroom sink. There was an ice carrier, but no plastic bag liner

The light over the sink did not work. No plug for the tub drain. Two ice machines but neither worked

No breakfast offered or coffee in the lobby available, staff was always gone away from the desk

Requested non smoking room but lobby, hallway, and room seemed to consistently reek of pot, noisy slamming doors 4-6 am, 1 am 2 doors down someone was using electric sander working drywall, washcloths and towels were stained and in need of replacement, would not recommend especially not for a family, it was cheap but would never stay again.

The price...but i guess you get what pay for. Hairdryer didnt work.

Smoke detector was missing only wires hanging out of ceiling, very dirty, motion light when you come into room turns on at night if move too much in bed (shocking at 2am) stained sheets, thin blanket, HVAC cover falling off. Paint drips or ? on curtains. It did have fresh paint on ceiling and walls.
