Exceptional stay at the Blind Tiger. From the moment we arrived, the staff could not do enough for us. They were helpful, pleasant and accommodating. The Inn itself clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the common areas with lots of available seating, books and a snack pantry. The room was spacious and inviting - especially the bed and linens. Breakfast was a cold bar and had a nice assortment of baked goods, muesli, granola, yogurt, coffee and espresso. We did not go hungry. We were close enough to the waterfront and enjoyed the stroll down and appreciated the neighborhood feel of the Inn. There are lots of places to explore nearby without the walk downtown as well.

I only stayed one night but absolutely loved this hotel. It oozed charm. The little "help-yourself" pantry was a welcome site when we arrived after midnight. And the coffee station was easy to find in the morning before Maggie arrived ready to make pancakes! Was also delighted that they had a non-dairy milk option. For being an old house in Maine in January I was impressed how warm and inviting it felt. Will definitely be back!

This was our first stay at the Blind Tiger. This was a beautifully restored old house; brightly lit, clean, with good electrical and plumbing. The air conditioning functioned well but did make strange noises on occasion. We were placed on the second floor just off the stairs. The room was quiet, even as the B&B was busy. Our room was large, with a spacious white tiled bathroom with shower. The toiletries were of good quality. The closet was sufficient and came with an iron and ironing board. The bead was large and comfortable. But it was quite tall. In fact the bed came to my chest. The B&B supplied a step stair for guests to climb up to bed. We had no difficulties but I thought this was worth mentioning. Breakfast was plentiful and sufficient. Plenty of bread, carbs, coffee, and cereal. The staff was competent and helpful. Mostly they stayed out of the way although they were available with advice and information. There was on site parking, WiFi, and a 24 h snack bar on the first floor. The B&B is very well situated, only one block from Congress Street. Drinks and dining are only steps away. I can recommend staying at the Blind Tiger.

Staff was so helpful and the breakfast was delicious! Our shower drained a little slow (old homes!) but they fixed it right away. It is a beautiful hotel in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, but we could still walk to everything.

A stay at Blind Tiger is like visiting a gracious and stylish friend. There are so many details that helped to make me feel welcome and at home. And the coffee in the morning is delicious! Located in a residential neighborhood instead of a tourist area adds to feeling like a local. And I appreciated the excellent recommendations for places to eat in the "Guide" on the website. Also Check-in and check-out were effortless; even though they were contact-less still felt personal.

Couldn’t have been happier. Beautiful room in the newly renovated house. Room was quiet and clean. The breakfast was fantastic with endless choices. Tammara was so helpful and kind. We will go back to this lovely, quiet spot whenever we’re in Portland. The neighborhood is charming. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

The perfect getaway for our anniversary trip! Exquisite interiors and fabulous hospitality, felt cared for and welcomed every moment! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and the homemade bread and butter included in the mouth-watering breakfast spread was delicious and so memorable. Staying here made our first trip to Maine so perfect. The beds are soft and spacious and communication is superb. The backyard garden is serene and lovely, the pantry well stocked, and we especially loved their little mixology station/kit. All in all, Blind Tiger blew us away and we’ll definitely be back!
