Property Description
Fully equipped RV is parked in the driveway of our Pool Barn. RV sleeps 5, has bath with shower, stove, microwave, heat & air conditioning, & running water all year. We are located minutes from the sand beaches of Indiana Dunes on Lake Michigan. Hiking in the Dunes National Park along the Little Calumet River and the historic Bailley homestead is only 1 block away. You may also use our large heated pool, hot tub, grill, campfire, and playground areas too! The space We have hosted this listing on another popular platform for over 3 years now with over 400 reviews averaging 4.77 stars. We are excited to now offer the Pool Barn Camper on many platforms. We are glad you found us! ***We take the extra precaution to sanitize everything between every stay*** IndianaDunes .com website is a great resource for why visit our area. The Indiana Dunes has over 3.5 million visitors each year! The Pool Barn Camper is 2009 26' with a tip out and sleeps 6-8. It has been modified to endure the cold weather and is available all year! There is a master bedroom with a Queen size bed. There is another Full size bed in the back behind a curtain. The couch folds into a Twin sized bed. The camper includes a bathroom with sink and shower. It has a frig, freezer, stove, and microwave. There is also a toaster and a Keurig for coffee. All the cookware, dinnerware, and silverware is provided too. A roku smart tv allows you to access YouTube, sign in to your Netflix or Prime Movies account and more. The water lines and bottom of the camper are heated for camping all year! Please remember a Camper with AC, heat, and comforts of home is much more comfortable than a tent, but it is a relatively small space. It isn't ideal for large people or groups to just hang out. A camper is great for enjoying the outside and still have a comfortable safe place to sleep and get out of the weather. So let me tell you about outside... The large 20x40 inground pool has several loungers. Like a resort Pool, it is only 5 foot at the deepest so not suited for diving, but great to have your own space when sharing, great for children, and for water volleyball. We have floaties, goggles, and snorkels too. The pool area has night lighting and torches to keep the bugs away while enjoying a night swim. Weather permitting, the Pool is open for Memorial Day weekend. We provide bath towels. It is a good idea to bring your own towel for the pool, hot tub, and beach. When it is too cold for the pool, or you just prefer hot water, enjoy the hot tub, kept at 104 degrees. Enjoy the still water or turn on the jets! The hot tub seats 8 and is open all year! There is large propane grill near the hot tub and firepit which is shared with the Pool Barn guest. There is also a separate propane grill by the Camper just for Camper guests if the main grill is being used. Propane provided. The campfire area has plenty of seating space and abundant firewood available at no additional charge. There is now also a portable fire pit just for camper guests if the main campfire is being used by Barn guests. If we are home we'll even get the fire started for you. The playground area has swings, slide, tree house, and hammock. Bring your bikes! We are on the Duneland Prairie Bike Trail. Great trails next door in the Dunes National Park for hiking or running too. I may even go with you if you'd like the companionship. And of course, we are only 3 miles from the sand beaches of the Indiana Dunes State Park and Porter Beach on Lake Michigan. Enjoy a morning stroll. Take in the sunset and see the Chicago skyline on a clear evening. Bask in the sun and take a swim on a sunny day. Go hiking in the Dunes and do the 3 Dune challenge. Guest access The Pool Barn Camper is separate from the Pool Barn and our home so you have private access and may come and go as you please. You have private access to the interior of the Camper. You do not get access to the interior of the Pool Barn. The outside amenities such as pool, hot tub, grill, campfire, and playground are shared with the Pool Barn guests and our family. Other things to note Why do we charge for extra people and no cleaning fee? We are just asking you to cover our costs. We wash the bed linens, bathroom towels, and make sure everything is clean between every stay. More people also means more upkeep of the common areas. We want you to enjoy the same cleanliness (or better) that you expect in a nice hotel. We have a dog. He stays in our house which is separate from the Pool Barn. Remington is a black German Shepherd. His bark can be a bit scary but he loves people. He gets let out on occasion and may bark for a minute, but he is friendly if you are too. If you don't like dogs, the Pool area is fenced and can close the gates to keep him away from you. Since we are located just South of Lake Michigan, there are numerous trains and highways that run near us to get around the lake. Most people tell us that the highways and trains don't bother them. However, if you're new to camping and a light sleeper especially in new places, you may want to use ear plugs. The hot tub was the main reason I chose this property over others and it was not disclosed that the jets were not working until we arrived.we were told they are on order. Who wants to just sit in a hot community bath with no jets? We casually overlooked that but the smell of sewer that filled the RV got worse every time we flushed the toilet. At first we just thought it was because it’s probably been closed up for months. We thought it would dissipate but was so bad we left at 230am and drove around the area for an hour to find a decent hotel room. This was such a disappointment for my birthday get away! I texted the owner 10 hours ago when we left and got no response! Strongly recommend NOT staying in this RV. And no response from the owner???…

Great location This rental is right by Indiana Dunes and in a nice neighborhood. Main bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower needs repaired. There was not a cloth to wash dishes with. The skillet in the cabinet still had food in it. We did walk around the block to get Uno Pizza which is in a speakeasy setting. Nice place. It was early for swimming but we did take a dip. Don let us stay late to enjoy the sun. The pool is well cared for. Overall a good rental.

First time camper users! The host was wonderful and the property was well kept! We didn’t love Porter, but the proximity to the dunes, restaurants and the property itself brought location and neighborhood up to a 4! That was my first time staying in a camper so I was a little thrown off by the movement through the night. Obviously no fault of the camper, just putting that out there for anyone else who may also be a first timer! I also want to suggest planning your day strategically to be out and about or in the pool midday if it’s a really hot day because the camper has a hard time fighting the extreme heat. Overall, we had a great stay and I would recommend this listing. We used the beautiful pool daily, the host was very responsive and staying in a camper was a fun little adventure for us and our two littles.
