Pacific Lagoon Apartments

We stayed here our first three nights after arriving in Port Vila and LOVED it. Highly recommend paying the bit extra to have a waterfront bungalow - we had #6 (two bedrooms) I think and it was just heaven having the water lapping just 15 steps out from the back sliding door. Location was so peaceful and about 5 drive into the centre of Port Vila. The bungalow itself is quite basic but very clean and a great hot shower, tv, lovely table and chairs at the back overlooking the lagoon, and temperamental wi-fi which worked better by the pool area. There was everything we needed in the kitchen (including microwave and coffee mocha!) to be able to self-cater which is handy where food and eating out in Vanuatu is pricey. You are a mini-bus taxi ride away from supermarket/Port Vila town centre so worthwhile picking up essentials such as drinks, beer, milk on way there if possible, to tide you over until you can do a bigger supermarket trip. (Note that supermarkets stop selling alcohol in Vanuatu from 11am Saturday through to Monday morning.) Manager, Chris, was incredibly helpful to us and helped make our stay very enjoyable. We went to Three Pigs restaurant (1km) our first night and second night when we had a car we drove to a Thai restaurant Chris had recommended. The pool is inviting but quite small and was cold whilst we were there, but there are kayaks to borrow and all sorts of snorkelling gear, reef shoes etc that we didn't need but could be handy. This really was a lovely place to begin our hols, enjoy the lagoon views and slide into the island vibe.
Grand Hotel & Casino

Our check-in was somewhat a bit delayed due to no reservation. The gentleman who served us, Willie, was fantastic. He was able to accommodate us after looking into the booking and requested we discuss the matter with the reservations team the next day. After dealing with my booking agent very early the next morning, we were able to sort the issue out. Apart from the cigarette smell as soon as you enter the hotel lobby and the stench in the lifts, the hotel is perfectly situated in the main town with a couple minutes walk to the ever-bustling market. The room offers splendid views of the waterfront which was absolutely breath taking. I was very impressed with the room especially the cleanliness. If the hotel can somewhat separate the entrance to the hotel and the ****** from the hotel lobby, this will surely lift 'first impression' image of the hotel.

Had such a relaxing and lovely stay at mangoes! Love the variety of pools, the service was fantastic and always with a smile! The gym and tennis court were great to keep the body moving while on holiday. All and all great place to be with boarders opening up after covid! Highly recommend
Warwick le Lagon Resort & Spa, Vanuatu

We stayed at the Warwick Le Lagon in July this year and had an amazing time. Our rooms were the Garden View rooms which we loved and would book again. The staff were so lovely and extremely helpful, especially Glenda, Ronald and Annie. We can't wait to come back to see you all. The food was lovely with a different theme every night. One of our family members is Vegan so Ramzy Shibany the Resort Manager made sure that a delicious vegan meal was prepared upon request which was very much appreciated. The water sports area was great, with kayaks, canoes, little catamarans and snorkels, so we got to explore the beautiful lagoon and its many wonders. We couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable family holiday and we can't wait to come back again. The Fontana's
Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu, an IHG Hotel

The hotel has a private beach, free sailing and other sea activities The hotel is quite big. We brought it from the front desk to the cottage by car. It takes about ten minutes to walk. The service is great, the breakfast is ok, there are a lot of fresh fruits, you can eat enough Just to go out, if you are not driving yourself, you have to take a taxi. It ’s more expensive to take a taxi from this hotel. Other places in the city are 1000 watts. This hotel is almost 2000 watts. It's better to drive by yourself, but driving here is more casual. If you are not an old driver, please consider carefully!
Nasama Resort
4.3/565 Reviews
We just ended our stay of 9 days here. The location of the resort is great and the views are sensational. Staff are friendly, but the price and the fact that the place needs a huge make over were a bit of a disappointment. Our room was lovely though and we had the best reviews. There are 2 restaurants on site that are a great convenience and a local shop to get drinks, snacks and those little things you might need. The food is nice enough but is extremely overpriced as is everything for some reason. Be prepared as a couple to spend easily over $200 each night for dinner (just a main and drinks). The pool was nice but the grounds needed a cleanup there were broken lights around the pool area and a terrible stain in the pool that was a bit off putting. The views from the site are something else though and made up for the things that need fixing. The resort is for sale and it feels like it’s been given up on, to be honest it needs some TLC, especially for the prices that they are asking. I wouldn’t rate it a 4 star resort in the state it’s currently in.
