When we were leaving the hotel, I said to the very kind doorman that Brix will be one od the key reasons for iur eventual second visit of Trinidad and Tobago. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is outstanding (you can experience reachness of Trinidad cousine). Roof bar is very nice, drinks are very good, food is reasonable, but not to be recomended. Staff is kind and efficient, even for standard of kindest Caribbean country we have visited - Trinidad and Tobago. So, If you chose Port of Spain, Brix is our recomendation.

The Brix is a great place to stay if you are looking to spend a lot of time in the center of Trinidad. The pool is clean and receives direct sunlight however there is no pool service, so you will have to buy drinks in the lobby and bring it to the pool (it's not a problem but something to keep in mind, if you like to be served by the pool)
Housekeeping is very diligent about cleaning and emptying trash everyday. The hotel staff are nice and greet you in every corridor. I hope to return to the Brix for Carnival 2026, since it is so close to where Carnival takes place.
The hotel food is great and they have an awesome rooftop for nights, you want to go out but do not feel like figuring out transportation (you definitely need a car or shuttle service to get around Trinidad).

My family and I had an excellent experience. Everyone was super nice and friendly. The room was super nice, spacious, clean . Room service was excellent. The rooftop bar was relaxing, they just need a good dj for Saturday night.

They overcharged me on more than one occasion. The menu on the TV had a different price than the room service or dining room has. They wanted to charged me 11.00 usd for half a bowl of cereal with the wrong milk when the menu on the TV had it for 6.00. I was disappointed in the food service there.

I did not like or rather I think the room can gave better lighting for makeup and dressing overall.

This chain was clean with an excellent ambiance and location. The room was great (great decore and all the amenities). The staff was very welcoming and was really willing to assist will all our needs/request.
