The location of the hotel is particularly good, passing through a shopping mall is a beautiful seaside. The room given is facing the street, and I can't sleep at night. The facilities are a bit old. The decoration has a history of more than ten years and the area is not particularly large. There is a balcony that is great, although there is an air-conditioning outdoor unit on the balcony.

Pretty much faultless. Service was fantastic, the accommodation was perfect. Heaps of space, well maintained, everything you could need. Plenty of facilities on site and free parking. Super close 2-3 min walk to Flynns Beach and breakfast at ”Sandbox” over sunrise is magical. Loved it all and would highly recommend. If marginally more expensive than nearby hotels the space and facilities on offer, more than outweighs any price difference. My only comment is that at the back of our apartment (#5111) there seemed to be some sort of pump noise or cooling system noise throughout the night, maybe not from the hotel buildings but the buildings over the fence. Annoying but not a deal breaker.

Leo & Jenelle would have to be the nicest & most accommodating hosts we have ever encountered, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. A huge jacuzzi over looking the fantastic water views went very well with our welcoming glass of bubbly on arrival. Our favourite part of the stay was the continental breakfast cooked by Leo, he takes great pride in he’s dishes & that shows in the quality of the food. Our stay was exceptional to say the least. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much.

The bay is in front of the hotel, the scenery is very good, but the room is not facing the sea, you can only see the sea from the balcony. There is no elevator, if you live on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you need to carry your luggage up by yourself. The hotel has a small parking lot, free of charge, but it may be full in peak season.

What has happened to Sails Port Macquarie?I have stayed here numerous times for events and holidays and it is sad to see the level of service and the detioration of the room and furnishings that has occured. After charging $647 .00 a night (event pricing) which I was aware of,another charge of $10 a night for unsecured parking was applied also. The balcony ballastrade was covered in cobwebs and the room on check in had an apple core on the floor that was not removed until our last night. Staff used to be friendly and acknowledge you when you walked past check in but not now it is just heads down etc. Very overpriced in all aspects which is such a pity as I have enjoyed all my other stays here with no complaints'.

Port Macquarie Hotel is located right in the middle of town and provides basic accommodation and good food downstairs. I found the bed comfortable and the ensuite clean and functional. There’s no tea making facilities but nice coffee is available downstairs. Recommend as a basic, reasonably priced, accommodation!
