Not easy to find without GPS but friendly staff. Clean room

Work in progress We came to Port Heron for a family funeral. I knew we would not be in our room much, so I went with a hotel chain that we have stayed in before. The hotel has been going through some major repairs to the building, and updating the property. As they keep updating this property it will be nice, as any older property it takes time. The room was very clean, nice beds to sleep in, just no place to hang clothes, or a dresser to put them in. No coffee pot in the rooms either. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. We would go back and stay again as you can tell it is a work in progress. It takes time to make changes and with a wonderful staff makes the little things easy to overlook.

Renovations look nice enough. Clientele are loud, unstable, audibly fighting and blasting loud music day and night both in their rooms (you can hear EVERYTHING in the adjacent rooms) and outside our doorway specifically, for some reason. Staff elected to charge me $153 in "damages" for stains left by my partner's menstrual cycle; women beware. I'm pretty sure a bottle of hydrogen peroxide costs a few dollars at best. If I wanted to be more cynical, I might suggest this behavior is how they funded their renovations. Located near some diners and a dollar store, convenient enough. Microwave, fridge, lots of power outlets and USB ports. Plumbing fixtures were... loose. If it weren't for the people, it'd be a decent place to stay a few nights.

Would have liked hot water for our showers. Very dated and minimally furnished. Clean, and sufficient if you don't mind cold showers.

Hotel room was nice but didn't feel safe as it’s a motel style

We loved the size of the room and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was standard for continental. You could tell things were recently renovated. The bathrooms in our room were dirty though. They, too, were recently renovated and the caulk was stained in the bottom of the tub. The tubs needed to be deep cleaned and when I wiped my hands on the vanity they got dirty. There were mildew/mold stains on the grout on the floor. All in all okay, but we will stay somewhere else next time we’re in town.
