Port Huron Hotels with Gym

Had a great family reunion at this hotel over the weekend. We arrived in the evening to free parking and were greeted by super friendly staff for an efficient and informative check in accompanied by the famous DoubleTree cookies! Our room was spacious and comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised to find a microwave provided. Beds were comfy and we had a great view of the bridge. We received 3 towels instead of 4 and the shower suddenly went cold at one point but it wasn’t a big deal at all. There were times when we could hear the TV in the next room and people talking loudly in the hall, but also not a big deal. The food at the restaurant was delicious and prices were reasonable. Waitstaff were friendly and hardworking. Was pleased to find free coffee, tea and water in the lobby, replenished all the time. This was a nice touch. The cookies were free flowing too! We enjoyed the large and warm swimming pool as well but it was somehow not as nice as the pictures. We found ourselves waiting for family members in the lobby a few times, but there was plenty of comfortable seating and a TV to keep the kids busy. We appreciated how every single employee greeted us and engaged in pleasant conversation whenever they walked by. Breakfast was standard but we were pleased to find individually wrapped cereal bowls and orange bread; something we had not tried before. Home fries, bacon and sausage were saltier than our taste but it was fine because there was plenty of selection. The icing on the cake was the super simple check out process through the app so we didn’t have to line up at the front desk. Would gladly stay here again in the future!
