The Newport on Macrossan - Adults Only

Loved the location, friendly service. Nice pool, very spacious room with kitchen and separate bedroom. Barbecue was an added bonus.

Very easy and fast check-in. Very nice central location on the main street of Port Douglas with many restaurants nearby. Parking available in the garage at no extra cost. Overall very clean. Can highly recommend.

Stayed here in October 2025 for 5 nights for a girls trip away. Initially booked primarily for the location. On arrival were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who showed us to our room and offered to help us with our bags up the stairs (keep in mind there are no lifts). We stayed in a standard queen room which isn't a room that has been renovated, as i believe the superior rooms have been, however the room had everything we could want. Kitchenette, TV with free Foxtel, outdoor area that led directly through a door to the pool (like a swim out without the price tag LOL) and pool towels provided. As there are only 12 units, the accommodation was very quiet and the adults-only rule means you don't have to share the amenities with noisy little kidlets (perfect for a couple of mid 50's lassies!) Now to the location, and honestly we hit the jackpot here....situated toward the wharf end of Macrossan St, wee had Coles across the road, great pubs and other eateries within 2 mins walk and 4-mile beach at the other end of the street was only a 10 min walk away. Highly recommend a stay here.

The best apartments in Port Douglas in the centre of everything you need, shops, restaurants and bars. The pool area is lovely and clean and could always get a sunbed. Very fast and reliable internet. Patrick, Ash and team are lovely. Can't wait to go back

It was so nice to have no children round the pool. The room was adequate, had a spa bath and small outside area. The place was very tidy. Only downfall was the bed was very soft and had hollow areas where people must sit to watch the tv as no lounge area.

Great location and complex very nice but disappointed with my studio as there was no natural light at all and even the balcony which was facing a fence never saw daylight. Not a pleasant place at all to spend any time in.
