A very central location, close to Macrossan St restaurants, pubs, the Tin Shed etc. Room (apartment) was very spacious, clean, comfortable bed, plenty of faciities with good Wifi internet. A couple of small 'downsides' - no lift to second floor, no reception at desk and the (subdued) music entertainment noise from the pub on the close by corner (this finished around 10.00 PM) . All in all a very comfortable apartment andd we would definitely return next to Port Douglas.

Luggage lift broken and inconvenient dragging luggage up and down stairs. Stairs themselves had narrow tread. No assistance available from staff as we didn't see anyone. A large party like ours with 21 people, could have done with assistance.

Location is good but no lift, hard to get from car park to room. No room service which was a surprise given the cost. Tiny room looking out on air conditioners so don’t be fooled by the promo photo. Also very small air conditioner but room is tiny.

Have stayed in Port Douglas many times, with my favourite location being on/close to Macrossan Street. This is now my favourite place to stay - lovely character building, close to everything (restaurants, supermarket, markets, the park for the sunset) with the beach a lovely stroll away. Our family of five fitted really well into the 2-bed dual key room. Us adults had the smaller room with ensuite, our two teenage girls had twin beds in the bedroom and our teenage son was on a pull-out bed in the lounge. To be honest the pull-out was in pretty poor condition (a wheel was missing) but he coped! We could have rung for service but he didn't complain too much so it didn't worry me! Having the pull-out meant that we had the couch available at all times. One adult had to do some work while we were away so was able to use the desk setup in the smaller room - the internet was good enough to allow zoom/teams calls and the space was quiet and away from the rest of the family so didn't impact on the rest of us. There was a wonderful large verandah to sit out on. We had a couple of tropical downpours and were able to sit out there and enjoy the rain. It was an awesome people watching spot but you didn't feel too on show. The hotel below had live music and we loved sitting with the large doors pushed all the way open, listening to the music. Bliss! In terms of room amenities, we had everything we needed. It was great having two bathrooms. Carparking was included but the wonderful thing is that you don't really have to take your car out if you are doing things locally - nothing better than wondering down for breakfast, heading to the supermarket to buy fresh watermelon, other fruits and platter food for lunch, and then heading down to a local place for dinner. So many options. We only saw someone on reception once but that was fine. We could have done with more rubbish bags as we wanted to remove food waste on a daily basis due to the tropical location and these were difficult to get as there was nobody around to ask. But we could have rung up and requested them, but instead we just grabbed more at the supermarket and took them home afterwards! The only issue for us was lugging all our gear up from the garage as the luggage elevator was broken during our stay, but this was fine for us as we were strong and able-bodied. Overall, I would come back here in a heartbeat. Loved feeling part of Macrossan Street while sitting on the verandah. Loved the heritage building. Loved the generous living space and extra room. Loved the 10 minute walk to the sunrise and that the sunset was just across the road. Love Port Douglas. Will definitely stay here again

Lovely accommodation Lovely and clean and a great location But you want to get an early night, probably not the place for you. We came sat and Sunday night. Loud music till late. The accommodation was faultless. We came with our family ......

Next door to a pub & another one across the street playing loud live music every night till 11.00pm. Not even good singers. Do not stay if after a quiet night in. On road with noisy trucks collecting bottles in the morning too. Basic accommodation with facilities. Not a relaxing stay.

Claustrophobic room, unable to open a window without compromising on privacy. No lifts so I had to carry my bags up a few flights of stairs. No staff at the reception desk for the duration of my stay- I had to check-in myself in and out of this hotel.

First 3 days was not happy at all, very small hotel room. People walking past able to see into the room unless you had the shutters shut then its like a cell. Last 2 days a beautiful 1 bed apartment with balcony overlooking the sea and Sunday market area. This was the first time as platinum members we had not received an upgrade which was disappointing. We were there for a wedding being the Groom's parents which l had explained prior to arriving, then bumping to other people who had been upgraded. On the plus side this property was centrally located close to the marina, Sunday markets and St Marys by the Sea. Staff were great.
