Stayed from the 15 to 18 May. Warm reception when we checked in and Peter was very informative about the area, restaurants and attractions. They advised us on which company to use for the Great Barrier Reef trip and it was excellent. Outrigger is approximately 10/15 minutes walk to the centre of Port Douglas where most of the restaurants are together with shops etc. The apartment was beautifully clean with all the ameneties you would expect. Plenty of space within the on site car park. Unfortunately did not have time to use the pool but it looked very inviting.

Our first ever visit to Port Douglas and we absolutely nailed the accommodation. Can’t recommend Port Douglas Outrigger highly enough. Located a short walk to beach, town and estuary/marina but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Peter and Amanda were superb hosts, extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable plus they run a great complex, plus we booked a couple of trips through them, based on very good advice. Our unit was clean and comfortable, with a full kitchen, great wifi, aircon and screens on all doors and windows. The pool and surrounds were beautiful. There was a library area full of books for guests to take and leave. There was even an area for things guests were welcome to use, left behind by previous guests; folding chairs, sun hats, children’s beach toys, sun block and a fridge with food items too good to throw out. Just awesome! Already planning our return.

John and I needed a little break from Melbourne so decided on the Port Douglas Outrigger. It was such a pleasant surprise, tucked away in the street of Mudlo. Amanda & Peter were lovely and their retreat was outstanding. I would recommend it to anyone who asks for suggestions.

Centrally located in quiet street within walking distance of supermarket,bakeries, restaurants and marina.the apartment was very clean and comfortable well equipped with all needs covered.Lots of loungers around the pool as well as tables and chairs near the Barbecue to enjoy an alfresco meal.Amanda and Peter went above and beyond when we mislaid some shopping in the village.Amanda rang around everywhere we had been and left a phone number.about an hour or so later a beaming Amanda knocked on our door with our bag.someone had handed it in at Cole’s and Amanda and Peter had driven in and picked it up. We were gobsmacked by their kindness.We hope to make a stay at the Outrigger a yearly event

Accommodation was excellent. Lovely clean, spacious apartment with full amenities and in an ideal location suitable for walking everywhere. Hosts were lovely and very attentive. Tour recommendations were spot on. A lovely time in an awesome environment. T&C T

We arrived late but were met by our driver exactly as arranged by Peter and Amanda which was just what we needed after a long journey. Accommodation was homely and comfortable and in a perfect location for Port Douglas. We would highly recommend this place. You will be well looked after 😀

We absolutely loved our stay here. Amanda and Peter were more than helpful and the loveliest couple you could wish to meet. Accommodation was very good and clean with everything you could ever need. The pool area was beautiful and enticing. Shops and beach were just 5 minutes away up the road. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

From the first contact with Amanda and Peter I knew I was on to a winner.Nothing was too much trouble, from squeezing us in at the last minute to organising our airport transfers, early checkin, late checkout and booking our tours.The accommodation itself was wonderful, clean, quiet and had all the amenities we needed for a wonderful, relaxing holiday. The pool and bbq area was beautiful and I often had it to myself. It was only a 10 minute walk to all the shops, restaurants and supermarket and we particularly enjoyed being a bit away from the hustle and bustle.
