We have not stayed in a hotel for our holidays for some 20 years, so we were a bit worried how we would get on in Hotel Cultural. Result was an excellent stay with a great bed, shower, breakfast & AC. Our room was good, however the bathroom is quite small but we managed no bother. Yes there maybe a bit noise at times but if you choose to stay on the main square it’s never going to be silent. The staff at breakfast and house keeping could not have been better. Great stay and we will go back

Excellent first time stay in the Illa Dor. From start to finish I could not fault our stay. The quality of accommodation was of a high standard, we had a sea view/balcony room, the views were certainly worth the extra cost for this type of room. The food on offer was very, very good, in particular the breakfast, with a vast choice, gives you a great start to your day. Unfortunately the weather was not good, however it meant we experienced the hotels spa, which was very relaxing indeed. It is very clear all the team here take a great pride in their job and this is reflected in the level of service and care we experienced. A special mention must go to Josep on reception and Matilde in the breakfast room, both delivered memorable experiences. Our only regret was that we just booked a 2 night stay. It is safe to say we hope to return, when next back in Port de Pollensa. Highly recommended.

SEPTEMBER 2024, after staying for two weeks, half board, below is what's been observed based on personal opinion and experience: Cleanlinss: 5 Stars! I used an anti-bacterial wipe (I always check the cleaness of the rooms) and after wiping off almost all surfaces, the wipe was still clean and white. I'm truly impressed and would like to thank all the cleaners for their hard work. Throughout the stay, two cleaning ladies impressed most, Alanya and Coumba. They were both very attentive, and Coumba almost read my mind on what was needed, fresh towels, soap, etc. They respected privacy, preferences and still provided world class service. Rooms: 5 Stars! All rooms are designed spaciously with much thought given on design and practicality in every aspect. Hotel Location: 4 stars! It's a good average 15min to 20 min walk from main street convenience shops, Tabacco store, and the beach. For anyone with walking difficulties, this may be challenging. However, there is a free shuttle service running 6 days a week from morning til 19.40 to the beach/main road. Taxis seem to charge different prices to Alcudia, despite same distance. If you like to party, the clubs are mostly located nearer to Alcudia, therefore Taxis would be required. There are also many restaurants on the main Street. The hotel has a mini supermarket ( 3l water costs EUR 2.50) or 10 min walk to nearest shop (6.25l of blue lid-water for EUR 4.50), or 35min walk to Eroski Supermarket (same 6.25l of blue lid-water costs EUR 2.17). For clothes shopping, there are many shops in the main Street. In my opinion shopping variety and price is better near Alcudia Port (approx. 10 min on bus from main road). For variety and brands, it might better to visit Palma (approx.1.5 hours bus ride). Always remember to Tap out when using your card on the busses, even if the driver tells you you don't need to, otherwise there is a penalty of EUR 0.30 per person + until the last stop charges! On two occasions the shop keepers near the beaches (not related to the hotel in anyway) made a mistake in giving me less change back. They apologised and rectified it when I made them aware. All good as mistakes can happen. I've since been checking my change. Food: 3.5 Stars. I need to add that my taste is high quality, healthy and simple food. Overall, the Salads were always fresh and good quality (5 stars), food and vegetables were always too oily (2 Stars) and variety was average (3 stars). Out of 2 weeks, the quality and meat variety of the dishes on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays where a bit disappointing for me. On Tuesday 17th September the quality of the grilled fish wasn't to my liking, the fish had no taste with a consistency that I found a bit odd. I think the chef might have been be off on Sundays and may be on Tuesdays too. However, if you enjoy pork and not a fussy eater, you are likely to enjoy something every evening.
