Had one night accommodation in August 2024. Quite a nice Motel and reasonably priced. Room was comfortable with good facilities. Bathroom was OK but could do with some maintenance (but so could about 99% of other motels as well!). Easy access to shopping centre and food outlets. Overall quite happy with my stay at the Poinsettia Motel.

This was my second stay at Motel Poinsettia in the past six months travelling with Fergus the Doberman. Rooms are specious and very clean. Motel is a bit dated but everything is in excellent working order. Only a very short walk ( 3 minutes) to a dog friendly park. Excellent value for money and is my new go to, pet friendly, motel.

We weren’t happy when we got a message on our way to the poinsettia that breakfast was no longer included in the tariff. It’s one of the reasons we picked this hotel. On the other hand it was very clean and comfortable enough. Bed very firm but comfortable.

Awesome pet friendly accommodation. Great staff inclusive of management to housekeepers. Friendly, polite, accommodating Fantastic to. E able to travel with my fur kids knowing they are welcome in the motel. Loads of places to walk the fur kids, on leash due to being on the main road. Highly recommended

Lower end of the motel line, clean, staff helpful and pleasant, most things worked, needs new power points as one was jammed and wouldn't turn on. Old style window single unit air con was noisy and even though Port Augusta is a hot place was nicer to have it off so I could hear the TV. Rooms are not sound proof as all, someone speaking or laughing in the car park wakes you up. I could deal with the traffic noise but not the tradies having a late night drinking session in the car park. Ah, perhaps I could have drowned them out with the air con. Personally, I would not stay here again as better options, however if you're a tradie and enjoys a late night drink and loud laugh this is the place.

This room was clean and the bed was comfortable but every time we moved it squeeked. Maybe plastic under it? The road traffic was noisy all night and as the airport is quite close, the planes flew over most of the night. We were looking for a quiet night but I didn't get it!!!

I booked this room as the reviews were good, but I should have kept going. Yes, it was quite cheap, it was clean and comfortable, but very noisy with road traffic and kids yelling in the car park at 3am, I think trying to cause trouble. The airconditioner was like a freight train so couldn't leave it on to sleep and it was hot, so had to open the windows which let more noise in. But the Manager was very helpful and friendly. A nice breakfast was included in the price so this was a bonus. If you don't have trouble sleeping with road noise then this is an OK place to stay
