Best Western Plus Mid County

Enjoyed our stay, convenient to where we needed to go to. Quite and staff very nice

This is a more modern hotel in the Best Western series; we love the "Plus" models more than the general Best Western hotels. This is a very comfortable hotel, nicely packaged rooms, baths, etc and you can control the temperature within your own room. Breakfast is very good - hot items for adults and young folks, plus cereals, waffles (all ages) shaped as the state of Texas. Reasonable cost for a very nice room.

The water pressure in our room was terrible. My wife and I had to take showers with a trickle of hot water. The TV would randomly stop working and I had to reset the cable box myself, but even then the channel guide wouldn’t open. Hotel looks okay on the outside, but it’s missing some details of being a good stay.

Please increase the water pressure of the shower heads in each room. Thank you J.Mc. Dismal water pressure is laughable for a brand new hotel, I like the soaps, shampoo, conditioner, premium movie channels, a/c works, colors, carpet, shower, towels all great, lack of water pressure ruins the entire hotel experience. Please fix it.

THE ideal room at a hotel should have: A hand held sprayer in the shower; CABLE NOT DISH, a SLEEP NUMBER bed and couple of other things but I don't want to share because I want rooms for a year of travel. This hotel is OK but just OK. 8 am and not much food out for the next hour so IF you are going to eat get down early or go to Waffle House. The coffee machine is terrible, a LOT of grounds in the cup, could not drink. The TV is dish, yes like most hotels, and in inclement weather, this is Pt. Arthur; the tv goes out and has to be reset by the desk. The room is "cozy' not very large, the bathroom is cramped, If you have to shut the door door it before you sit down.

The maid woke us up to clean at 8:30 even though we had not checked out. Breakfast was supposed to be until 9 but was almost completely put away at 8:40. The woman putting away the breakfast brought out some of the food she had put away but the options were very limited because they cleaned up well before 9. The hotel was clean and everything worked correctly.
