Royal St Andrews is so beautiful, the rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable, is so luxurious, the breakfast is delicious and so much variety to choose, their dinner is extremely delicious, I was extremely excited for every meal, the chef is very good, this is the most luxurious hotel, I recommend everyone to try this amazing hotel.

I rate Royal St. Andrews in Port Alfred 5/5 why because the moment I arrived I felt like I stepped into the Highlands of Scotland, felt comfortable cosy the customer service was top notch @Michael or bar / waitron as well as @Robin Hyde the manager, your smiles made our day even more marvellous, also food delectable and I will certainly return for this delicious beef pot pie. We had a lovely stay and I can honestly say there was absolutely nothing I could complain about. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Every staff member I interacted with went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms are beautifully designed—spotlessly clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail is evident everywhere, from the quality linen to the thoughtful touches that make you feel at home. The on-site restaurant and breakfast were outstanding, with delicious meals and excellent presentation. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind. The location is ideal—close to the beach and local attractions, yet peaceful and quiet. I would highly recommend the Royal St Andrews to anyone visiting Port Alfred. It’s truly a gem, and I can’t wait to return!

Stayed overnight during road around Eastern Cape. room was functional and had everything we needed, service was very good and food in the pub was superb. Only drawback was the hotel has no lift and I am 73 years of age. We were staying in the new wing and access to the first floor room was by a relatively steep set of stairs. I noticed that the boardroom was also on the first floor, and I have no idea what they would do if they have a disabled person attending a conference.. I cannot fathom how a brand new wing of the hotel can be built with no lift. We spoke to the staff and asked how they transport linen, etc. to the first floor, and they confirmed that there was no lift either for guests or four goods.

The Royal St Andrews is a home away from home. The people are so nice and helpful, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is amazing. The rooms are always made up to perfection, clean and has everything you need for your stay. The Royal St Andrews has been our favourite go to place for any occasion.
