We’ve been coming back to this hotel for more than 10 years now. The family run business convinces with a picturesque garden, fantastic food and hospitality. Every room I’ve stayed in so far had its own unique interior design. The owners like to explain how to get around in town and what you can do there. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi with its counter current installation, as well as the ping pong table in their garden. There is also a room with wonderful chess boards (and other board game), a piano and a (french?) snooker table. The rules are simple (as said by the owner) but the game is not, hence we tried and loved it.

Definitely the best hotel in Pornichet and surrounding towns. Wonderful, arty and unique rooms, brilliant family service and great food down in the restaurant. Superb in any sense!

Not many hotels in the area can offer the same charm and ambiance as the Hotel Sud Bretagne. With a pool and beautiful exotic garden where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning or dinner at night. Staff are extremely welcoming and warm. The owner a lovely character who takes great pride in his establishment. At night candlelit tables fill the courtyard and in the morning complete quiet while you take in the morning air from your own private balcony. Rooms are spacious and decorated differently. Spa area a treat as is the pool table. The bar resonates with a bygone area where a martini would seem appropriate. Steps away from the beachfront and with own parking, its a gem worth trying!

I have stayed here before and was always quite satisfied, this time not so much.
I had to change rooms because the first one had the heating turned on and it was very hot in there. The Concierge first didn't believe me, then gave me a room that was definitely not worth what I had payed, rather cramped, dull colours and the light in the hall didn't work.
The hotel is otherwise quite nice. I hope it will be better again next time!

Very nice hotel with beautiful and clean rooms. Staff is really nice and helpful! Close to port and beach, sensible distance to other locations in the city. Market place with fresh seafood is 1 min away! Private parking is a nice addition. I strongly recommend this place.

Our 2nd visit here, based on a good first experience. Still a great location with a pretty garden and car parking and lovely staff. BUT The room was a practical nightmare. 2 steps down into the room, a minuscule toilet that is hardly usable and no door to the bathroom. A high side on the bath to step over for the shower and no hand grip to hold on to. No spare plug points for charging devices or the table fan provided (a too-short cable) and no fridge. Room safe not working. A superior room, we were told all these rooms were similar, so no point in asking to change, said in a dismissive, defensive, manner. A warning lesson to inspect the room before accepting it! We had no questions over our mobility when booking or on arrival. Sorry, but there are better options available in the town for the same money. Fellow travellers, you have been warned!

Didn’t have the billiards table, sauna and was quite dusty due to old hotel renovations but staff was lovely and the breakfast was too. Charming hotel.

What a lovely hotel in an excellent location, staff were excellent, parking easy, and room clean tidy and quiet, when we are trailing around again we would definitely stay at this location,breakfast also very good with lots of choice
