This is a gorgeous hotel in a fantastic location, right on the water in Porec with outside eating and drinking available. Rooms were big and very tastefully decorated, with mini bar and safe. We were very lucky with our room as it was a corner room so had a view over the old town from one window and a view over the sea and marina from the other one. The only slight issue is this area of the town is closed to tourist cars so you have to park about 2km away and phone the hotel to have a shuttle bus to pick you up. The only odd thing is the public car park was free with the barriers raised, but the hotel still charge you 10 EUR a day for the privilege ! Note though it would be possible to avoid the charge by unloading your passengers and luggage about 400m from the hotel where the barriers to the old town are, and then go and park and walk back,.

The Bo Palazzo is a very special hotel, with a rich history and southwest facing location at the end of the marina jutting out into the harbor. It is lovely, impeccably clean, very stylish in a classic way, and very customer service oriented. It is within very easy walking distance of everywhere in the small old town and, although it is on the far west end of the peninsula that is old town Porec, it is not far (20-30 minutes) to walk through the Riva and marina area to reach the grocery stores, shopping mall, and shady park with walking paths and beaches (and the occasional WW2 concrete pillbox defense structure) on the far eastern side of town. The sunset views are lovely as are the views of the marina, riva, and sea. Parking is offsite, at the large Valamar lot near the large community sports center about 10 minutes away. It is safe. Call about 10 minutes before you get to the lot and the hotel van will come to pick up and transport to the hotel. It’s about an 8 minute ride to the hotel. The hotel has a pool area but no beach, and there were no suncobrans (sun umbrellas) this year. The hotel breakfast is still a nice buffet but the offering has slimmed down noticeably in the past year. The bread is some of the freshest and most gluteny that we had anywhere in Croatia this year. The fresh cut fruit is particularly good as are the omelettes. The cereal selection is skimpy – mostly all nuts and muselix. Seating is both indoors and outdoors; watch out for scavenging seagulls outside. The Suite in which we stayed was beautiful, with solid burnished wood panels, large picture windows on three sides, a large balcony facing the water, a bedroom with a sliding wooden door, a living room area, a large formal dining area with a very large table, an office area, and two full baths. The windows open, which is nice. The AC is individually controlled and works well. The window curtains do a good job blocking out light and sunlight. The lighting is very decorative and classy chandeliers, chandelier sconses, and lamps. There is a large empty hallway at entry that is wasted space in which some storage tables / chests of drawers would be very useful. There is a small frig hidden in a desk in the far corner of the dining / office room area; you need to take out the hotel’s products to make room for your own, The large master bathroom has good sink shelf space but we cannot use the shower ….it is a large jacuzzi tub with a shower head that is a hand held only (not mounted high enough to use as a showerhead) and there is no curtain or glass wall to contain the shower water in the tub, vs. on the floor, nor to shield the person taking the shower. The small bathroom off of the main door has a walk in shower which is a self contained unit. It has excellent water pressure and is easy to use, although it is dark. The pedestal sink in the second bathroom has no counter space. There is a built in storage closet with shelves and hanging area (need

Lovely hotel. Ideal location. Breakfast excellent. Had an evening meal at hotel very good indeed. Walking distant to old town and boat excursions. Staff lovely. We travelled by car and parked out of the town however we got lost and the hotel mini bus came to our aid and get us to the right car park.Downsides to the hotel are that Mini bar is very expensive. $18 for a small bottle of wine. Very small pool with cabanas and sunbeds but some selfish people felt it was justified to not only put their towels on a cabana but also on sunbeds as well. We were only there three days and in that time we saw people put their towels on beds by 7-30am then disappear for the whole day and come back at about 3pm to 4pm. New people arriving were having to sit on chairs at the bar due to no beds. We complained about this to the hotel reception but the same people did the same thing the day we were leaving so nothing was done about it. This is a big issue at this hotel. If not bothered about lying at the pool can highly recommend.

My sister got married in Croatia last August and myself and my family and many of the other wedding guests stayed in this hotel. We had an amazing time here!! The views were great, the food was great but the highlight of my stay had to do with the ever so friendly staff. To name a few, in the dinning area, Emilio, Alexandra, their colleague from Bosnia I forgot his name. Jovana and from front desk, Maria helped me a lot with organising appointments and so on. And the night time front desk staff, I believe he's from Serbia, he was very friendly and helpful too. I wish to see them all next time I visit. I regret that I am leaving this review a year late but I have not forgotten all the lovely smiles and the great service in the 9 days I stayed at your hotel. Hope you are all doing well!!! :) Lisa

Very pleasant stay. Excellent location to access the beautiful Old Town. Lovely view over the water. Breakfast excellent and staff very friendly. Evening set meal was lovely and excellent value and served by a very gracious waiter ( sorry do not know his name.) Only downside was a somewhat dated room but generous size so did not detract from our stay.

This impressive-looking hotel is situated on the Porec waterfront and most rooms (like ours) have fabulous sea views, spoilt only by the large heap of rubbish someone had left on the roof of lower part of the hotel. Be aware that there is quite a lot of noise from the bars and restaurants along the port, which can be disturbing at night and will likely be much worse in high season than mid-June. Our room was enormous (think it was two rooms knocked into one) and looked freshly painted but the furniture was cheap-looking and a bit scruffy and it felt quite stark and empty - no sense of comfort or style. There wasn’t a plug by the desk, unless you pulled it out and reached behind (not easy). Staff were very helpful. Good breakfast. There’s a lovely outside pool but the sun loungers had cigarette burns on the covers. My complaints are minor overall but these small details spoil what could otherwise be a real 5 star experience.

This is a lovely hotel on the peninsula. The room was really nice with a good powerful shower. The breakfast is plentiful with loads of lovely fresh fruit. The restaurant staff are all really friendly and lovely and attentive. It is a shame this restaurant is under used as we had some lovely meals. The lamb chops in pistachio and honey crust and the seafood spaghetti were very nice. Sitting on the terrace watching the sunsets were amazing. The weather could have been better as we had quite a lot of rain. Suggest visiting later in the year in June or July

The Hotel BO Palazzo is a classic and classy hotel, dating back almost 100 years with historic photographs hanging in the lobby. It was completely renovated not long ago, and is tasteful, elegant, and gracious with a yellow and white color scheme décor and large crystal chandeliers. It has a wonderful waterfront location at the corner end of the marina pier, with direct south and west facing sunset views, and is within very easy walking distance to the charming old town of Porec, the rest of town, and the parklike waterfront with shaded walking path, beaches, and beach bars & cafes. The suite in which we stayed was larger than my first two apartments after college – the photos on the website, as much as we pored over them to determine which room to prioritize to reserve, do not do this room or, presumably, any other rooms justice. The suite has solid burnished wood paneling, windows on three sides, a large balcony facing the water, a bedroom with a sliding wooden door, a large living area, a large formal dining area with a very large table, an office area, and two full baths. The lighting is chandeliers and chandelier sconses as well as lamps. It’s beautiful and is probably one of the nicest and most elegant rooms in which we’ve ever stayed. The only improvements would be to : 1. Add shade onto the balcony terrace via unbrellas (without a sun umbrella, you could really only go out there in early morning and late day; 2. Replace the jacuzzi tub in the en suite bathroom with a real walk in shower with a ceiling mounted showerhead and floor to ceiling glass doors. The tub is a nice idea but you cannot use it as a shower, so two people staying in the room lose the convenience and time saving benefit of the two full baths and cannot get ready simultaneously. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with a broad scope of traditional Croatian and more English / American options – a good assortment of fruits, vegetables, and pastries; exceptional gluteny fresh breads; terrific melon; and well made tasty omelettes. The only non 5 star aspect is the juice wall dispenser. Seating is on the terrace by the water. Car parking is at the Isabella Valamar Hotel lot; the Hotel BO Palazzo picks you up and drops you off in a van; it’s a 8 minute or so ride. Parking is safe. The parking lot is near the large community athletic and fitness center; you can buy a short term pass and use the very good gym also. The Palazzo’s gym is not really usable except, perhaps, in the winter as it is on the ground floor, facing west, is very small, has just a few pieces of equipment, and is unbearably hot and humid as the glass windows and skylights suck in all the sun and the humidity of the pool piles on. Thanks especially to Kosta, the van driver; Marija and Matej at Front Desk Reception; and Ines at breakfast.
