We spent a night at this waterfront hotel in Poreč’s old town and really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, right in the heart of things. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast buffet was surprisingly generous—borderline impressive for a 4-star hotel. The rooms and overall condition of the hotel were well maintained. A solid choice for a short stay.

We stayed at the Villa Ulixes, a part of Valamar Riviera Porec, for 5 nights (the Villa is literally a 3 min walk from the main hotel). Our sea view room was spotless with a beautiful terrace. The Ulixes wine garden was right beneath our balcony with life music in the evenings. The location is in the heart of Old Town and you have shops, cafes and gelato parlours right on your step. The stay included a generous delicious breakfast, brunch (practically lunch buffet with at least three main dishes) and a prosecco happy hour with small bites at 5pm. There is a boat every 15-20 minutes to the Isabella Island Resort with multiple beaches and easily available sunbeds. All beaches are very clean, towels and sunbeds are free for the guests. There is also a spa at The Isabella hotel at EUR8/person for 3 hours. This was a much needed break and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Porec is gorgeous, calm and kind. * If you are not driving, try and book a transfer taxi in advance which would cost around EUR80 from Pula airport. Alternatively you can take a shuttle to Pula bus station then take a Arriva bus to Porec. Please make sure you check bus schedule though.

Stayed at this wonderful hotel many times . We absolutely love it here and would not stay anywhere else in Porec . The staff are proud of working here and it shows . Not a piece of rubbish anywhere . The rooms cleaned to a high standard . The breakfast section is enormous and the lovely jela always makes your day with a lovely smile . Still remembers what I like for breakfast . We can’t wait to return and also visit the easily best restaurant in Porec in Nikis bistro

Probably the best place we have ever stayed! Special mention to Josipa and Flippe who have been the highlight of our stay, absolutely excellent service and an absolute pleasure to be around along with all the other staff here ! Their recommendations have been phenomenal and we are so grateful ❤️ the breakfast and brunch is nothing short of amazing.

The first Room allocated was unsuitable. There were workmen working 4 metres away on the building just across the yard, so privacy and noise were major issues. The second room was good. Given the information supplied by Valamar during the booking process we were surprised and pleased to find walk-in showers in both rooms. The location was superb - the entrance fronted onto the harbour which had easy walking - important for a 90 y.o. - and there were streets going into the old town behind. The brunch facility was excellent. The absence of a restaurant for dinners less so.
