Myself and my family (husband, two teenagers and a teenage friend) stayed for the second time at White Shell at the beginning of July this year. As last time, we had a fabulous time. We stayed again in a three bed villa and it was as beautiful as I remembered, with all the mod cons you could need (apart from just the odd cooking utensil). Would be great if they could provide things like salt & pepper though, to save you having to buy these, (then only use a little bit), but apart from that, no complaints. Housekeeping every day was clean and efficient (and polite), Pool area was definitely a little busier this year, but more beds have been placed around the pool so there were still no fights to get one, which I was very relieved about as that is what I loved about this place last time. There were no reserving sunbeds at dawn and people just got up and took their towels when they left, rather than just leaving them for the whole day - one of the BEST things about this place. I can't stand sunbed wars, it just ruins a holiday. Sadly there was still no furniture up on the roof terrace, but this was something I'd mentioned to them previously (as it's advertised as a space you can enjoy) and by arrangement prior to me arriving, they very kindly put some deckchairs and a table up there which was lovely. It was great sitting up there in the evening sun with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. If they could just do this without having to ask for it, that would be better, otherwise it's just a wasted space and not really somewhere you can enjoy at all. Ana Rita and Bryan in reception deserve special mention. I remembered them from my previous visit and they were as lovely and efficient this time as they were back then. Sadly the rooftop bar area is not currently in use, which is a real shame. It's a lovely space, but just not utilised properly in my opinion. We went up there the first time we stayed and it was deadly quiet - just no atmosphere at all, so not very enticing to go back again. I think if they had a local band on (nothing loud, just nice and easy) a couple of times a week, just in the background, it would really help. Just create a nice place for people to have a drink in the evening before going back to their villas, a change of scenery really, that's on site. But unfortunately we were told it was just not currently economical to open it (prob because no-one used it for the reasons I mentioned above). So it was a real shame - but there is definitely scope for improvement there I think. Would have been great if the pool bar stayed open a little later than 6.30pm to accommodate the fact there was no other bar, just til 8 or 9pm or something would have been great as there were plenty of tables where you could sit and have a drink (or not, as the case was). Same goes for the restaurant in the evening. We didn't go as the menu isn't very extensive (and expensive) and there was nothing we wanted to eat on there. If they just added some
