Good quality for money in the month we went, so quiet and such a lovely area with the beaches only a few mins away each. I would say it was slightly unclean and then blankets had stains on them but this was outweighed by the location and the facility’s. Such a quiet lovely place to visit I would recommend for a quiet holiday as there isn’t much in the way of restaurants and we had to travel into old town which is about a 10 euro Uber from the hotel. The food there is very good but only cash. Overall I would defiantly visit again I recommend for a relaxing holiday on the cheaper side. The room was really big and cooking facilities.

A quiet, lovely apartment complex Pleasant greeting at reception, 2€ per person per night tourist tax charged on arrival, ouch but we knew about it beforehand. Room was nicely located overlooking one of he gardens, spotlessly clean, practical airy, we had a one bedroom apt, with 2 adults and 2 older teenagers , only tiny issue is one of the teens is over 6ft and too tall for the pull out bed, but he coped. The pool area was lovely , very quiet . You had your own parasol in the room to use on the balcony or take down to the pool if required, which was a great idea. Pool toilets were little dated , but we just popped back to our apt instead. Nice play area for kids. Cafe/bar/ restaurant We were a little annoyed that the bar restaurant was closed for our stay as this wasn't mentioned in booking and still not out of season, however the cafe was open and food was delicious, as were the cakes and coffees, lacked any atmosphere in evening apart from the one night where there was live music. Just needed a little music sorting really. Location short walk to several beaches ( some accessed from steep cliff steps) absolutely stunning clifftop walks , make sure u visit the little church area and shell trees near beaches its so pretty. You cN either walk towards beach or the intermarche for bars and restaurants, there is plenty, or go into armacao de pera, €3 in uber. Try tasca26 tapas it's amazing and easy walking distance.. Overall (this was a real budget holiday for us) is absolutely worth every penny, traditionally portuguese, friendly, quiet, and in a quiet but beautiful location.

Isolated and old fashioned self catering hotel. On arrival at 10:45 pm on Saturday night there was no food or drink available as the snack bar was closed due to lack of customers. The receptionist charged us 2 euro per person per night tourist tax and we were given a door key and some tricky instructions on the location of our apartment. Not very kind of courteous. First floor was ok, had all the essentials, but bathroom sink plughole smelled powerfully of sewage! A long walk down to the beach. Two fairly expensive local restaurants. Three or four restaurants 30 mins walk in the opposite direction. Far too many tourists and far too few local bars and restaurants. Hotel breakfast is 8.5 euro and very basic. Much better value and quality to be found in the town a few miles away. Really awful pizza and the paella was ridiculous . Mine had one prawn,one mussel, and the tiniest chicken leg I have ever seen, more like a sparrow leg. We were also overcharged at 50 euro for pizza, paella, two beers, one Bailey's, and one water. The pool area has lots of loose tiles missing their grout but does look good. I would advise anyone booking to avoid an apartment overlooking the pool due to noise. The best thing at this hotel is the free shuttle bus to the local town of Armacau de Pera, which is lively, packed with great bars, shops, and restaurants. I would not stay here again, but would find somewhere in the town. The isolation of this place is it's Achilles heel.

I doubt I would have written this review if we had not had a significant problem that started a few days after the holiday, but otherwise I might have given a 3 out of 5, but because of the issue it is hard for me not to rate it as 1. I was in two minds about writing this review and certainly contacted the tour operator in the first instance, but their reply was unsatisfactory in my opinion. I do appreciate a review like this could have implications for the staff and the hotel, but I will let you decide if they could have done anything to stop or reduce the likelihood of this issue with checks between guests and you can adjust that score accordingly. At least with this information you will be aware to make your own room checks before settling down for your first evening, as we will almost certainly do for future holidays. The date of our stay was October 5th 2024 to October 12th 2024 and as it is very relevant to my comments, in room M 45 which is a downstairs apartment. 3 days after our return from a 7 night stay my wife noticed quite a lot of red spots on her body, so much so that she thought she had Chicken Pox, which seemed unlikely as she had it as a child. The next day after research she decided it was very likely to be bites from bedbugs, and that evening I also developed a large number of the same itchy red spots. I contacted the tour operator the next morning to advise them of this largely so they could contact the hotel in the hope that something could be done, to avoid other occupants of that room from having the same problem. On the same day my wife had to go to a local pharmacy on a different issue, and while there had the spots confirmed as bedbug bites, and purchased a gel to help with the itching. At the time of writing we have had 3 or 4 days with hundreds of these itchy unsightly bite marks on our bodies (some on our faces), and we understand from the pharmacist that it could be 2 or 3 weeks more, although I sincerely hope not. There is also the chance that we have brought them home with us, but that will not be clear for some weeks yet, I suspect. Most of the other negatives you will read in other reviews regarding thin walls and floors are unfortunately correct, and the place could do with some TLC to bring it up to a better standard, but I appreciate these things are mostly reflected in the price point. To end on a more positive note, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful, and the location was very quiet during the period of our stay.

Such a lovely place to stay,nice apartments clean and tidy,cleaned and beds changed,rubbish done while we was there,nice pool to relax at,nice restaurant as well food was lovely friendly staff we're in love with Portugal 🇵🇹 me and my partner got engaged so we br back.
