Quinta Das Figueirinhas & Quintinha Village

We stayed here in August 2023 , and found it to be excellent for our needs as a family of 4 , two boys 13/11. We had a 2 bed duplex apartment with 2 big bedrooms and a large bathroom , downstairs is an open plan layout with everything you need in the kitchen cooker with oven , microwave , kettle, toaster , washing machine , dryer, never used the dishwasher, plenty of crockery ,cutlery etc. it also has a sun terrace on the top floor. There is a shared grassy area at the rear of the property and a small front garden. The complex itself is clean and well maintained and the pools are big and again very clean, but be aware it is a salt water pool. There are about a dozen restaurants within easy walking distance from the complex all very good , our favorite was the Master Grill opposite the supermarket, ( go Hungry and thank me later). There is a shuttle bus that takes you into Amercao De Pêra where you will find gorgeous beaches , a few bars and more restaurants highly recommend Pêra Bistro Bar great food and entertainment most nights. We got an Uber back at night 8/9 Euros. Would recommend this complex but be prepared to travel a little for more lively nights out .
Ukino Terrace Algarve Concept

Pros: • Size: apartment was very spacious, had a big fridge-freezer, plenty of kitchenware; apartment consisted of 5 rooms (hall, boiler room, kitchen/living area, bedroom, and bathroom) and two balconies (one at the living area and one at the bedroom (this one had a sea view)). • Cleanliness: apartment was very clean, cleaned by staff every second day (with towels and bath mat being replaced with new fresh ones); hotel provided free wall-mounted shampoo in bathroom of apartment. • Features: apartment had two air-con machines that you could control with a remote control that was only a €10 deposit; stove-tops, microwave, kettle, and toaster all available for use in kitchen area of apartment. • Amenities: pool was large and was never too busy to get a sun-lounger/parasol; pool bar was affordable for drinks (i.e. €3 for a pint of Sagres, €2.50 for a Somersby cider, €5.50-6.50 for a cocktail). • Location: 5-min walk from the beach; lots of restaurants within 5 to 10-min walk; mini-market 5-min walk away and supermarket 15-min walk away; very peaceful and quiet area, no noisy neighbours experienced! • Travel: fast pick-up times for taxi/Uber services from hotel; affordable taxi prices (we used the FreeNow app to travel to Armação de Pêra for €4 and Albufeira for €15); can also get the bus through to Armação de Pêra and Albufeira. Cons: • Bathroom: shower-head was too small for the holder so had to find sweet spot to use it, or use by hand; bath-mat had visible hole in it; slight stains on towels; no hand-wash provided by hotel. • Bedroom: yellow stains on bed-cover; one plug socket within the bedroom behind the dresser (which was missing safety guard). • Amenities: no lift within the apartment building (annoyance when on the top floor and have to carry large cases up/down when arriving/leaving); no under-water heating of the pool, so can be a bit too cold at times. • Nightlife: not very lively but we expected this having read reviews; we’d advise travelling through to Armação de Pêra some of the nights (although don’t make the mistake we did and go through on a Sunday!), or Albufeira. • Check-in: check-in time is at 3pm (annoyance when you arrive early from morning flight). • Travel: bus times to Armação de Pêra and Albufeira are infrequent.
Ukino Palmeiras Village - 24h All Inclusive

We have just come back from 10 nights at Palmeiras Village and suffering from holiday blues. We previously stayed at the hotel 2 years ago and had a great time so decided to rebook. We hoped that hotel hadn’t changed too much as it’s changed hands since our first visit. The hotel and the staff absolutely blown us away. The hotel was always clean and all the staff we came into contact with couldn’t do enough to help. The staff helped us move tables as we were a group of 6. They always made a fuss of the children, which my 2 year old loved. He particularly took a shining to a young lady who was at restaurant number 2 (our favourite) at lunch time. The food was excellent. There is something for everyone, always hot and always being refilled. We loved the theme nights, especially Brazil and Mexican. One day a lady picked up a piece of food with her hand, straight away a member of staff approached her and asked her to use the tongs provided. If you are wanting sun beds I recommend you make your way down to the pool at around 8:30 with your towels. At 9 the staff open everything up so you can choose where you want to sit. We did this before breakfast before spending the day around the pool. The pools are a little cold but once you get in it was lovely as it was very hot. I joined in aqua aerobics a few times which is always good fun and everyone is welcome to join in. My two children certainly enjoyed it. The kids splash pool is brilliant for younger children. My little girl loved the big slides. Thursday is pool party day and we all loved it! It was a wonderful atmosphere. I cannot sing the praises enough for the animation team. They do not stop! Running lots of activities all day long including the kids club and then running the evening entertainment too. They have really stepped up the entertainment this year. The staff run most of the shows themselves and they are all so talented! The mini disco is on level 4 and was a little tricky to find at first but we love what they have done with the rooftop. There are bouncy castles, bikes and sometimes similar to go ape, which my daughter loved! The piano lounge is a lovely room for a drink of an evening and the pianist is fab! My little boy sat for ages watching him. The pianist acknowledged my little boy at the end of every song, when he was clapping. My only grumble is that we had seen the white party (Wednesday night) was outside by the pool which looked amazing. For some reason while we were there it was inside. It was still a great evening but we were a little disappointed to be inside. We saw this week it was outside. If you are thinking of booking here for your next holiday I 100% would recommend it. The hotel is amazing, staff are fantastic and it’s a great location. Definitely get the land train if you can. It stops outside the hotel every hour and is €4 return. It’s lots of fun to ride at night too!
Vilalara Grand Hotel Algarve

Where do I start?! This place is extremely special, from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. Andre took us and our luggage to our room which was outstanding, very clean, spacious and quiet. Andre then took us to see some of the hotel which was beautiful, Andre and all staff went the extra mile and we’re very friendly. The hotel is maintained to a high standard, the gardens are gorgeous, nature was everywhere which was lovely, and it was clean every where we went! I honestly don’t know how anyone could fault this place. Highly recommend!
Vila Vita Parc

Thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to Vila Vita, it's a wonderful hotel, and we found more things to enjoy. For our family it was perfect as there are so many activities to do - pool, beach, sports, health club, children's holiday club, relaxing. There is wide range of on and off site restaurants, which are all great. The rooms are very comfortable and the family room with an extra bedroom and garden terrace suits us to enjoy our evening while our children sleep. And finally you are looked after extremely well and in great comfort.
Pestana Viking Beach & Spa Resort

It's awesome! The rooms are large, with sea views, close to the beach, the environment is beautiful and clean, the rooms are fully equipped with microwaves and utensils, and there are many tables and chairs. Breakfast was generous and parking was free around, but parking spaces near were not easy to find. A boat ride to Benagil Beach is also easy.
