Having stayed in the his hotel for our last trip to Dorset, 5 years ago, we knew what we would be getting and we were not let down by anyone or anything. From checkin to departure and everything in-between, it was spot on. To the staff at Poole North, keep the high standards going.

Friendly and helpful. Very clean and spacious room. Good cooked breakfast and checking out by 12 meant not having to rush. Would recommend.

The hotel is clean rooms ok, short staffed and not very helpful limited bar no orange juice. I always check my bill in the case I was overcharged by £164 I queried this and was told a refund would be in my account within five days, nothing. I rang and had an apology payment would be another week, nothing I rang again threatened Count Court received payment 4 days later. I WAS OVERCHARGED ON THE 6TH OF APRIL I RECIEVED PAYMENT ON THE 16TH MAY. This is despicable any honest company would have refunded the same day. Don't stay here if you must don't hand over your card until you have agreed the bill.

booked 3 rooms , 2 assisted and one double. It is self checking in or 'request help', I and 90% of those checking in used the help of a person! The lady who I asked help from was clearly irritated by my non independence, she was quite terse and gave me my room allocation. When the rest of my family arrived for the other two rooms (both were booked for assisted using their two different names) an alternative much more helpful lady was on reception; they were duly allocated the two remaining rooms on the booking -one 'assisted 'and one not. It later became apparent the original irritated receptionist (she was the duty manager I think) had allocated me the wrong room, I was not for an' assisted' one and had not booked one. Nor had I requested one. Such was her manner that I did not query my room, I just expected her to have known what she was doing. She didn't ask, obviously just assumed because I was old I must be for the 'assisted 'room. The other two rooms booked with different names had been booked for 'assisted'. My name was booked with a 'normal' double. All of this confusion just created an unnecessary backlog at reception - and ALL those in the now long queue declined the self check in option! Sort of says something.. I opened my bedroom window and as I closed it the net curtain and pole fell onto my head! No damage done it was lightweight Word of warning, unlike alternative similar chain hotels the 'assisted beds' are all double and cannot be converted to a twin option if desired The evening meal menu was good, as was the breakfast. Staff all multitask - reception, kitchen, waitressing, bar work. There was a definite staff shortage, some customers waited a timed 20 minutes at the bar for someone to arrive to pour a very expensive pint With the exception of the grumpy manageress all other staff were all lovely, cheerful, helpful, manifestly juggling multiple tasks with good humour and doing their best. Premier Inn are clearly cutting costs by having very few staff on duty...shame on you Premier Inn, you are setting these staff up to fail...they cannot give the response clients require (like a pint on less than 20 minutes) unless you employ sufficient numbers. Most staff were amazing, despite your obvious staffing policy but thankyou to them all

The girl behind the bar when we sat down for food was the most rude person I have ever seen in hospitality. Everything was too much trouble. My wife had a lager drink and said that it did not taste very good as it seemed the lemonade was gone. The girl said it looked fine so just be fine and just said she will just top it up. My wife said that was obviously not good enough and would still taste the lemonade and could she just replace it for another without lemonade and just had the most dirty look given to her for asking. She then said it would be at least 10 minutes for me to get a fruit shoot for my daughter as she was serving someone regardless that we were half way through our meal and it would have taken her 10 seconds to grab it and add it to my bill. The rest of my family then arrived after our meal so we sat in the seating area to have a drink and after getting a drink sat down and said what’s wrong with the girl behind the bar as she is so rude. I am glad it was just not me that thought it. The girl serving our meal could not do enough for us and was smiling from ear to ear the whole time we were there so much praise for her. The food was average and definitely not worth the price attached to it. The room was very clean and tidy the shower was like a tidal wave so definitely woke you up on the morning which was very refreshing. Overall I have stayed in a lot of different Premier Inn hotels in various places but this is one I definitely will not return to.

Restaurant closed early without warning, guests with meal deal vouchers were refunded and left with no food and no options or local advice offered by reception who were basically useless.
