In spite of the weather we had a great time here which was mainly due to the nice environment and the very, very friendly staff. No matter if it’s breakfast or the nice gift they left us with our breakfast package due to early flight, they were really really kind.

We loved the whole property: the sleek design, the amenities of breakfast and tea with cake in the afternoon and the staff were so wonderful! The owner, Nicolau was very hospitable and we looked forward to seeing both Jessica and Annabella in the morning before our days adventure. Their viewpoint of their island culture was invaluable and greatly appreciated. We loved their warmth and the fact that we didn't have to deal with a lobby full of hundreds of other customers. We highly recommend this place to travelers who want an intimate and Slow Living experience.

Stayed at Casa da Ilha for 8 nights. The stay was great! The room was clean and fresh and the really nice maid cleaned it everyday. Both the free wi-fi and air con worked great, which isn't always the case. Nice breakfast, home made bread everyday and different cheeses and cold cuts. Fresh fruit everyday. They even made us special breakfast when we needed to head out early one day, before the breakfast time, and made us a little breakfast bag to bring to our early flight. Coffee was free at all times which was nice. The hotel is a 10-15 min walk from the city centre, but with some nice restaurants around the corner, close to the ocean promenade for som nice runs and free parking just outside the door, great when going out exploring. Parking and driving in old town is a bit of a hassle. As we stayed over new years, they even put in a small bottle of sparkling wine in our room, a nice little touch! The only "negative" was that there wasn't a fridge in the room, so it was hard to buy some beers and keep cold in the room. But they hade a small "bar fridge" in the lounge that we could borrow to store some drinks and cheeses, so that wasn't really a problem. All in all, great value for money and great service at Casa da Ilha.

We loved our 4 night stay at the little boutique inn on the outskirts of Ponta Delgada. The staff was super friendly and helpful (including the cleaning lady), the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms quiet and comfortable. The inn is about a 10 minute walk into town to the Ponta Delgada marina along the ocean, but there are several excellent restaurants within five minutes.

What a gem! I'm so pleased I found this guesthouse for my solo trip to the Azores. The house is a quick walk or drive to downtown Ponta Delgada, right on the water, with plenty of self-parking out in front. It's decorated in a lovely minimalist and modern style with comfortable touches, with some wonderfully abstract art on the walls. The rooms are decorated in the same modern way, with high end touches, a large bathroom, plenty of space to put your things, and a very comfy bed and pillows. My view was of the ocean and that was lovely! More importantly, the staff. I can't say enough good things about them! From Annabella in housekeeping, to Jessica in the kitchen, and owner Nicolau, the service was friendly, warm and welcoming. They all work incredibly hard, keep the rooms stocked and tidy, and cook some excellent breakfast (one of the best I've ever had in my years of traveling!). They all had suggestions for things to do on Sao Miguel, and even arranged a wellness activity/massage for me during my stay. I would come back here and stay again in a heartbeat!

We had four nights at this hotel and we must say that we cannot say anything bad about it. Staff is more than helpful, breakfast is amazing (you will get anything you want), location is perfect (near the city, but still quite). Also it is very clean and well equipped.

Arrived sfter dark and was a little confused with location but found the place ok. Parking on street outside was fine. Very quiet at night and roads quite narrow. Everyyhibg ready and room was nice. Rather odd decor which looks like unpainted cement or plaster. Some kind of modern art i think. Room fine nice bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Staff very nice and friendly. Nice continental breakfast. Enjoyable and very good value. Recommended.

Séjour excellent. Idéalement placé. Jolie chambre et literie très confortable Petits déjeuner qui changent tous les jours , très complets Personnels très accueillants et disponibles Juste parfait sur tous les points ! Je recommande sans hésitation
