We stayed here as part of a group and had a meal (for 34) on the evening of arrival. We had pre-ordered our different choices. Service was efficient and very well organised, so we had no 'who's having fish, who's having beer' etc. Starter for me was soup, nice and hot and a little bit spicy. I chose what was titled Butcher's piece, which as i had hoped turned out to be steak. Cooked to perfection as far as i was concerned although maybe some would like it a little less 'bloody'. Desert was tarte tatin, which was ok. Staff were all friendly.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel while on one of Lil's small group adventure tours. We arrived in Pont-L'Eveque, France at the hotel on June 11 and departed on June 19, 2024. Food and lodging was excellent. The breakfast was exceptional and serve by a staff that were engaging and helpful. The rooms were serviced daily. Note that some rooms were two story. We would recommend this hotel and the town of Pont-L'Eveque as a place to stay and visit.

Stayed for one night at Lion d'Or in transit to Brittany.Plenty of off street parking.A very pleasant welcome and shown to an excellent duplex room with lounge and bathroom on the lower floor and bedroom upstairs.Newly decorated and well equipped.Ate in the restaurant.Short menu but food very good served by attentive and friendly staff.Plenty of choice at breakfast.Altogether an excellent stopover.

We stay here regularly as it has excellent accessibility, the room on the ground floor is perfect for a wheelchair user, level access, spacious and a huge wet room. Lovely restaurant and the staff are always so helpful.

Excellent hotel in a great location for touring Normandy. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our mezzanine room was very spacious and comfortable. Really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the evenings. Breakfast is very good ! The hotel has a very good spa although we did not have time to use it. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. PontL'Eveque is a lovely town and would highly recommend eating at L'Angelot across the road from the hotel.

Living 30 minutes away, we had never tried this SPA. We booked a 30-minute massage for two with access to the spa. The welcome went well, however, the first disappointment was the lack of a jacuzzi and then the pool was not very warm; we stayed in it for 15 minutes even though we had access for 1 hour 30 minutes. But my biggest disappointment was the massage. I didn't want to trust the previous reviews but I should have... we were picked up at 2:25 p.m. for a massage at 2:30 p.m., time to change and get ready, I imagine the massage must have started at 2:30 p.m. I found the massage good but very quick and for good reason... when we returned to the locker room after waking up "gently" and getting dressed, I saw that it was 2:51 p.m.!! A 30-minute massage that must have lasted 15 minutes! I find it scandalous given the price, I will not return and unfortunately I am giving bad publicity.
