We stayed for 4 nights in June during our travels around France and cannot recommend La Tillaie enough. It is a delightful old house recently renovated by Olivier, who has more plans for the future. Our room on the top floor, overlooking the garden, had a large comfortable bed and was tastefully furnished, with a modern en-suite bathroom. We met Michelle (Olivier's mother), who helps out in the house and garden and is a delightful, friendly lady. Dinners, which were thoughtfully prepared by Christophe, plus evening snacks when we felt too full from lunches out for a full meal at night, were taken either in the dining room, outside on the terrace, or in the garden 'bothy'. Christophe clearly takes great pride in his food, with lots of extra touches and we enjoyed every tasty offering. Our whole stay, from start to finish, was five star and our lovely welcoming hosts made it an experience never to be forgotten. Definitely a place not to be missed.

This was a great find. La Tillaie is a charming house in a little village not far from one of "les plus beaux villages de France". We always try to explore one of these villages on our travels back and forth from South West France. The house is on three floors with a pleasant lounge . Our room was on the first floor and was very comfortable and clean. Outside there is a garden beautifully kept by Michelle who is the mother of Olivier who together run the b & b. We had an aperitif in the garden before retiring to the outside dining room where we were joined by other guests to a delightful home-cooked meal. In the morning there was a good breakfast spread with jams made by Michelle. All in all it was a very good place for an overnight stop on our return journey to UK. It would have been nice to stay a bit longer and explore the local area. We will try to fit in another stay - it is well worth the effort! Recommended

Located in an small village in France, La Tillaie is a great place to stop by!. Pet friendly (Our Dog Tinto Approve it), we were welcome really warmly from the very first moment. After a walk around the fields close by La illaie and a small stroll around the town centre, we did enjoy an incredible dinner, ending the night with a relaxing hour on the jacuzzi (Obviously the dog was not invited ;) ). Finally our room was really spacious given enough room for the three of us. Departure was the following morning, but after enjoying an amazing breakfast! We will consider it as a place to stop by in our future trips crossing France!

Une grande et élégante maison charentaise avec son charme d'antan et juste ce qu'il faut de modernité pour que l'on s'y sente bien. Située dans un petit village , elle a sa tranquillité préservée par un environnement calme. On appréciera son espace extérieur et son parking privé . La chambre d'hôtes est confortable et décorée avec goût. L'espace sanitaire est composé d'éléments fonctionnels de qualité . Il faut absolument goûter à la table d'hôtes proposée. C'est dans une pièce très agréable et encore à la décoration soignée, qu'on dégustera un dîner préparé par Olivier, le maître des lieux. On appréciera la qualité des mets. Olivier, prévenant et attentionné , s'assurera de présenter un menu qui convienne à ses hôtes… et sera de bon conseil pour l'accord entre mets et vins ! Sur le plan géographique , la situation de cette demeure permet de se rendre rapidement sur les bords de l'Océan et de visiter également l'intérieur des terres. Tout est réuni en ce lieu pour que l'on ait envie d'y revenir !
