The hotel has everything to be great but staff is not yet trained to deal with client.
I had in this place the worst experience ever from the time I’ve arrived in the hotel.
The receptionist was rude to me, we had to escalate the situation and then manager come to solve it but it totally messed our night with the reception misunderstanding.

This hotel is not well-known among Chinese tourists. I saw it by chance, and it turned out to be the most surprising hotel in the entire Sri Lanka trip! It is really small and exquisite, and all the layouts are very stylish. It is worthy of being the hotel where the Queen of England once stayed. Without mentioning other places, just one small detail, the hotel is by the lake, there are many wild animals such as monkeys and squirrels, but there is really no mosquito. It is extremely pleasant to sit by the lake and watch the sunset. From this detail, it can be seen that the hotel management has really worked hard~ The only thing is that the hotel wifi needs to be logged in again after a long time of non-use, which is a bit troublesome, but the speed is good~

Absolutely stunning boutique hotel right on one of the largest man made lakes built in the 12th century. The place is so serene and beautiful with gorgeous suites including a Royal suite where Queen Elizabeth had stayed in 1954 (the Royal Suite still houses the original desk and bathtub used by HRH). I can’t think of anything more relaxing than sitting on the expansive verandah on a rocking chair sipping a cup of tea. However no matter how beautiful a place is it is the hospitality of the staff that takes it to the next level. The staff were absolutely wonderful and attended to our every need. The food was delicious and the Sri Lankan delicacies were a highlight. Ekho lake house is a little gem perfectly located to explore Polonnaruwa and the surrounding cultural region and is a blissful escape for couples and families alike. Niluka Pinto

Very peaceful and picturesque retreat by the banks of Parakrama Samudraya. You can see an amazing sunset. It is conviniently located near the anicient city of Polonnaruwa where you can visit by foot or bicycle. Food is delicious. You can select either Western or Sri Lankan food. Rooms are spacious and clean. Speacial thanks to Priyantha, Pradeep and Shamika for the amazing hospitality and friendly service.
