The hotel has everything to be great but staff is not yet trained to deal with client.
I had in this place the worst experience ever from the time I’ve arrived in the hotel.
The receptionist was rude to me, we had to escalate the situation and then manager come to solve it but it totally messed our night with the reception misunderstanding.

This hotel is not well-known among Chinese tourists. I saw it by chance, and it turned out to be the most surprising hotel in the entire Sri Lanka trip! It is really small and exquisite, and all the layouts are very stylish. It is worthy of being the hotel where the Queen of England once stayed. Without mentioning other places, just one small detail, the hotel is by the lake, there are many wild animals such as monkeys and squirrels, but there is really no mosquito. It is extremely pleasant to sit by the lake and watch the sunset. From this detail, it can be seen that the hotel management has really worked hard~ The only thing is that the hotel wifi needs to be logged in again after a long time of non-use, which is a bit troublesome, but the speed is good~

EKHO Lake House Polonnaruwa is a true gem. Manager Nuwan ensured every aspect of our stay was flawless. Chef Chaminda, with Priyantha and Wasantha, delighted us with their exceptional culinary creations – the food was a highlight of our trip. Isuru’s friendly demeanor and outstanding service made us feel valued throughout our stay. The serene setting by Parakrama Samudra made this the perfect retreat for relaxation. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Polonnaruwa.

breathtakingly beautiful lake view, divine, calm, peaceful/ relaxing stay, vintage ambience, infinity swimming pool, clear blue lake like an ocean , sun set views☀️, walking distance to the ancient ruins of the Kingdom of King Nissankamalla, stunning pictures, yummy food, great hospitality and friendly staff definitely one of THE BEST getaways! ❤️ my 2nd time

The location is stunning and the rooms are very nice and clean. The pool is small. However, the food is sub par and overpriced. Three people in our group caught a tummy upset on the day we left. We felt they had cooked excessive food on the first day on the buffet. Some of this was re served again for breafast. Alcarte food was luke warm and some of the dishes over cooked especiallythe tuna. Good hotel with room for improvement especially with the food.
