Marion Hotel

The breakfast is delicious and traditional, enjoyed with a friendly smile. Guests liked the comfortable, clean rooms with lovely pillows and firm beds, offering great views of the surroundings.

I've just come back from a holiday in Cyprus. I stayed at the Marion Hotel, Polis. The hotel was very good, with friendly staff and quite good facilities. My room was comfortable with a sea view. The pool area was well cared for. The hotel's gardens are truly very beautiful. The Marion is quite good for visiting the town, there are attractions like the museum and the church quite close. There is also an excellent barber-shop at the top of the road. The Marion Hotel is a 10-15 minute walk away from Polis 'old town' with bars and restaurants. There's a brilliant coffee bar called 'Coffee Island' about five minutes away from the Marion, opposite direction to the 'old town'. There are several handy supermarkets nearby the Marion Hotel. Also a 10-15 minute walk away is the excellent 'Herb Garden' restaurant, where I ate one of the best 3-course meals I've ever eaten, next to the museum it has it's own 'walk-around' herb garden with myriads of beautiful scents and smells - they very much add to the ambience of the beautiful restaurant. There is another very good restaurant about a mile away called the Myrafiori Restaurant, where they do very good pork souvlaki. Both restaurants have vegetarian food on their menus. Altogether a great holiday, and I believe there are plans to upgrade the hotel, which will probably make it 3/4 star.

Absolutely .**** hole rooms got cleaned once in a week cockroachs in rooms and really moody manager even the cockroachs were more friendly the rooms are like walking back to 70s if you do decide to brave it here leave the breakfast alone otherwise you will sick of cheese and sliced processed meat bad coffee
