My wife and I stayed three nights; along with our daughter and her husband. We were greeted as family and treated as family throughout our stay. I am sure our affection for Polignano A Mare was secured from the amazing hospitality and accommodation, as much as the beautiful city and landscape. When it was time to leave, it felt like we were leaving our family behind. Every 5 star review you read is under selling. I want to ya back. I want to stay. I want to work there! - The Daniels

This hotel is phenomenal. The deck with its view is enough reason to stay here. But, other places have great views too. What they do not have is the best breakfast buffet on the planet! We spent a month in Italy staying at wonderful hotels. I have led a very fortunate life and have been able to stay in many of the world's great hotels, beginning at age 12. I have NEVER seen ANYTHING that comes close to the breakfasts here, including The Ritz, Four Seasons, you name it. Plus, every day the amazing cook (Maria?) is up at 3 AM baking up a storm. Every day there is a new and different selection, and every day it is even better than the day before (we were there for a week). I rarely write reviews but have been meaning to submit this for ages and am at a famous hotel right now and the food is not close to these breakfasts! I was inspired to write this.

The enthusiastic reviews you are reading for this hotel are not a fluke. I highly recommend it not just for the perfect location - nestled into the historic, cobblestoned streets of Polignana a Mare and a short walk to the famous Lama Monachile beach– but for the owner’s devotion to helping guests get the absolute most out of their visit to this part of Puglia. From the moment we arrived, Carola made us feel at home, recommended activities and personally booked us reservations at two of the area’s top restaurants on a busy weekend while providing a list of other choices. At breakfast, Nunzio greeted us like family to a breakfast spread set by Maria showcasing home baked pastries and cakes, specialty cheeses and meats, and other delicacies as Nunzio said, “baked from the heart.” Truly remarkable was the service that Carola extended as we checked out and even when we moved to a villa with other friends for the rest of our stay in Puglia. When we bought a bunch of typical (traditional) Puglian food for the villa, just as we were checking out, Carola personally helped us carry those supplies and our luggage several blocks to the car service she had arranged for our transport. Later in the same week, she cheerfully arranged further restaurant reservations at the best restaurant in the city and arranged a very early morning airport transfer from our villa to the airport. During our week in Puglia we ran into both Carola and Nunzio in the street and it felt like we were seeing old friends. This is a great choice if you are coming to Polignana a Mare.

Located in the beautiful town of Polignano, you can see from the outset that the owners have crafted such a beautiful hotel using all available space within such a tight building in an historic town. They succeeded this by providing 5 star rooms, excellent reception and breakfast areas not to mention the excellent rooftop facilities. From the outset we were met by Nunzio a gentleman who was such an amazing character, who would do anything to assist you with your stay who went above and beyond with all our needs with the assistance of Carola, to recommend car rental and places to visit in Puglia, local restaurants, local beaches and local delicacies. Rooms maintained daily to a very high standard by a very friendly house keeping team. Finally lets mention the breakfast, this was prepared daily by Maria to what I can only say was perfection, all fresh ingredients and prepared each morning, breakfast service was set out to high standards which varied each day. Nunzio and Maria ensured that local delicacies were included in the breakfast each day from local cheeses to freshly baked cakes. Breakfast was served by Nunzio who again went above and beyond to make sure you did not leave hungry. All in all, this was definitely a hotel that we would revisit and will recommend this hidden gem to all our friends and family.

Our stay at Quintessenza Luxury Domus exceeded our expectations even though I had read all the wonderful 5 star reviews. I think it is how Carola goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. Arranging parking and transfer. Meeting you at the drop off. Insisting on carrying your luggage. These are no small things for weary travellers who are not familiar with the limits to driving in old town centres. Her hotel is gorgeous with perfect amenities. The restoration which she and her father made to the hotel is top notch and lovely in details. The location is perfect for easy walking to all you want to see in Polignano a Mare. The breakfasts provide vast choice of the most excellent quality. Wonderful local food lovingly prepared on site. Overseen by Carola's father who is an Ambassador for his daughter's hotel. Don't think twice about staying here.

The accommodation and location were perfect right in the centre of the old town. Private parking was available nearby. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and hospitable and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was cosy and clean and the breakfasts were amazing, freshly made each morning from local produce. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Polignano a Mare.
