San Lorenzo Boutique Hotel & Spa

Very friendly staff , clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Lovely breakfast. I loved that they offered great free WiFi , free parking. The pool was beautiful , unfortunately it too cool weather to use it . Outdoor gym ! The restaurant wasn’t great food wise .

The hotel lies 5 minutes from the centre of Polignano a Mare outside the town. It is a lovely countryside property with plenty of green spaces, an outdoor pool, and a spa. The hotel has parking on site. Rooms are spacious, bright, and clean. Rooms are modern but not charming. We got a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and it was very nice. The staff was helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and with fresh blood orange juice served. The breakfast area was one of our favourite features of this hotel. Overall, it was a very solid 4-star hotel, nothing to complain about and at a fair price of 135 EUR per night.

Just driving round for a hotel in region it was Antonello’s pleasant, and cooperative approach who made us decide to stay here. The hotel exceeded our expectations, starting the day with an excellent breakfast surrounded by the green in the beautiful well maintained garden, overviewing the blue Adriatic from a distance, we could continue our day first with enjoying the very nice pool facilities and afterwards being able to drive to multiple Puglian villages in the neighborhood of Polignano a Mare like Alberobello and Monopoli. Last, but not least very friendly staff at all levels.

Puglia was the final leg of our 2-week European holiday. We planned it so we could have pool and beach time toward the end of our trip. While I had initially set my sights on staying at a masseria, it was difficult to find one that checked off the boxes on our list. We landed on San Lorenzo and Polignano a Mare as our base for exploring the area. We booked a 2-bedroom suite; one room had two twins and the other a king-sized bed. The bathroom had a decent amount of space around the sink for toiletries. However, the bathroom is in serious need of a deep clean and/or refurbishment. The faucet lever appeared to have plastic at one end and many of the wall hooks need to be tightened; I was worried about hanging my toiletry bag on them. There is ample space for luggage storage throughout the suite. We appreciated the bedroom slippers as well. We did indulge in spa treatments at Senso Spa. They allowed us to include our two kids in the wellness package, which they enjoyed. I highly recommend. There was a dry sauna, steam room, hot tub, and a salt room, which I have never encountered at a spa stateside. We did splurge on the beach club in Monopoli that the hotel partners with. I highly recommend it. As for the pool on site, we enjoyed lounging out there each day. We ordered drinks and snacks from the bar area and there were plenty of seating available. We did drive into town each night for dinner and loved the proximity of center storico to the hotel.

We loved our five night stay at San Lorenzo. The grounds are beautiful and everyday we explored a different section. The Breakfast room is in a garden settng surrounded by cactus plants sprouting prickly pears and the food selections are plentiful and delicious. Our room choice faced the pool and had a large balony. Loved the room and hotel decor which was clean, modern and uncluttered, Bathroom was large as well as the shower. The pool area with bar, lounge and restaurant was great. We used San Lorenzo as a base for visiting the surrounding towns, Martina Franca, Ostuni, Alberbello, Monopoli and Bari. We had a wonderful experience at San Lorenzo.

Excellent place! Discreet, exquis, peaceful, in the middle of a nice garden. Nice pool, good musi, very good breakfast. People very nice, without exception. Special mention for Fedele, the night knight! Hope to meet again!
