We stayed here at the end of October. I am a PRM. Their version of a PRM room was much different that mine. I expect additional grab bars/hand holds in the shower. I have included a picture of the shower. Not only is it dangerous for PRMs, the tiles are deadly slippery when wet. The wifi did not work. The AC was turned off. The mini fridge did not cool well. We ended up checking out a day early and the hotel never refunded the second night. Cannot reccomend. Oh almost forgot about the ants... see pictures and video.

The food was excellent, compliments to the Chef. Everyday there was something different to tempt your palate. The staff in the dining room and in the bar were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and welcoming. Providing a free shuttle from the resort to Polignano was an added bonus.

1 week in this resort on a group booking (Rail Discoveries). I cannot understand some of the negative reviews I've seen on here! Apartment was good. Hotel grounds pretty with shrubs and well maintained. Food in the restaurant was always good and plentiful with several choices. Staff were fine - be pleasant with them and they will reciprocate. Was on an all-inclusive package - standard of "house" wine and spirits was good. The shuttle bus service to the nearby town was ok. with all-inclusive it is complimentary. The only downside is that it is not easy to get into the sea from the man-made sandy beach, but a younger fitter person might not have the same problems. There are a couple of jetties but then steps down into the sea. A concrete slipway arrangement would be easier.

A very nice hotel with great accommodation and good food. The pool was clean and large enough. Access to the sea was down some steps against the rocks, which may not be for everyone, but we had no problem. The main issue we (and many other people on the tour we were on) was the attitude of the staff, especially in the bar and reception. Although they had a lot on duty in the bar, we were often left waiting whilst just one served and 4 or 5 others just stood chatting among themselves. Everything seemed to be too much trouble, cushions were not put out one evening because "it might rain". It didn't and they were still not out the next evening so, after much conversation between bar and reception staff, a waiter slowly got them out of the cupboard whilst we as customers put them all out. We were not allowed table service in the bar (indoors or out) and one of our party was refused a tray to carry out drinks as, apparently we had the wrong colour wristband. All this was done with a lack of grace and customer service seemed to be non existent. These things did impact on our enjoyment of the stay which was a shame as everything else met our expectations!

Rooms good standard, WiFi good. Food all considered very good. However packed lunches for excursions were very poor, no imagination and they let the usual food standards down. There is NOT a sandy beach as suggested by the photos it is rocky but the sea was warm! Bar staff generally rude and unhelpful. Very sad considering we went at the end of season and you would have thought they would be less stressed and more helpful! Seemed very anti towards English groups who basically paying their wages! Local wine served in the bar very good. The outer areas of the complex were tardy, littered and unloved. The inner areas well kept with cute rabbits running free. The hotel is off the beaten track, about an hours walk from the nearest town. Tea/coffee facilities in room ok, but powdered milk terrible and restocking portions minimal. Plenty of toiletries on day one but not replenished. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels. Spa ok. We had a free hour as a guest/package but not worth the going price of €30. Massage was nice, average price. Gym facilities included a few pieces of apparatus in an outside tent! Pleasant grounds great when the sun is shining…. Little to do otherwise, one pool table. We went on a group booking. Rooms were opposite end of campus to dining room! Luckily it didn’t rain at meal times, otherwise we may gotten very wet! All in all good accommodation and food but NOT 4 star. Customer service by bar staff left a lot to be desired. Evening entertainment consisted of various local artists playing or singing on a small stage between 9 and 11pm. Ok as background music, quite middle of the road. Had a nice holiday, won't return.

Our stay at Pietrablu as we arrived we got a welcome stay as we booked in. Our luggage was delivered to the rooms. The grounds are well kept, with surprising nature around us we spotted rabbits on the green lawn with buzzing bees on the lawn. The rooms very clean and comfortable. The only downfall for a five star no iron or iron board in the room or tissues. The dining room was pleasant experience with a great selection of food at breakfast and dinner. The bar staff were all pleasant and helpful. The pool was not great for the capacity of guests at the resort. The loungers at the pool and on the lawn very uncomfortable as too low. The advertised picture of the resort of the beach line was a total deceiving as didn’t show the rocky beach line. To our surprise we took a walk and found a sandy cove were locals go which was only a 3 minute walk. If you to come here plan to rent a car as shuttle service only takes you to Polignano. Should have more hobbies for kids as a not thing available was a pool table! Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Dont be fooled by the images of a luxury beach resort. It is not! It is Butlins in Puglia! The beach is appalling and the resort generally tired and unkept. The room to be fair was very nice, the air con was excellent and the wifi very good. The spa was nice. Everything else was either bang average or poor. If you decide to stay here you must hire a car. My advice if you want a beach holiday in Puglia head to south Monopoli where the beaches are beautiful and the water clear blue.

Group check in for 14 rooms.. Called ahead. Were assured rooms would be ready for midday. Arrived at 1. Not a single room ready apparently out of the 14 booked. Were then told it would be 3pm despite requesting rooms to be given as and when they had been cleaned. It would seem in the 3 hours from 12 midday as promised not a single room could be made ready ?! Not one. So we waitied for another 3 hours....3pm came , and again, allegedly not a single room ready. Reception staff did not give one iota and responded to group leader with an attitude verging on utter rudeness. The leader would have got a more engaging conversation by talking directly to the wall it seems. Manager was asked for ..allegedly no manager on site. Really??! Finally got rooms at 4pm . All at once. ...so the request for rooms as and when available was clearly ignored along with the request for explaination as to why the agreed and pre arranged check in time was ignored. 14 hot tired people who had travelled from afar over night treated with disdain and utter disinterest. ..to the point of rudeness. The reception staff need urgent training in customer interaction skills. Havng got access to rooms finally, after a well needed post travel shower, using the facilities was somewhat too late in the day to get any real enjoyment out of them. This was a one night stay for a day off in a gruelling schedule, now spent for the most part in a hotel reception. I'd love to say the cleanliness of room was spot on...but sadly not. A ribbon over the loo saying 'sanitised' does not hide the previous occupant's left overs in the pan . Try flushing until its actually clean ??? In a colleagues room, a short barefoot walk to the shower collected a variety of dust, hair and debris on the feet...clearly sweeping the floor had been omitted. Another colleague , despite the already now 4 hr delay still had to wait outside their room while cleaning was completed. A walk around the "resort' proved totally uninspiring save for access to the sea, and a pool which a colleague said was actually lovely ...which is no doubt why many visit ...sadly the check in experience taints ones ability to apppreciate more simplistic set ups in the light in which one could feel positive about the whole experience Dinner. A good buffet spread, but sadly i found myself attached face first to the loo within 15mins of eating .....i can only assume an unexpected ingredient that triggered a known intolerance. I am usually excellent at avoiding the culprit...but sadly not today. Maybe some allergy advice next to the dishes would assist in avoiding this kind of thing ? Not the best experience for 35euro Check out was surprisingly smooth enough, but once again reception staff lack customer service skills. A 'how was your stay' would allow a guest to impart information that could improve the whole customer experience without having to resort to writing a less favourable review on trip advisor. That
