Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Location close to the lake and the many eateries.

We had 5 nights prior our trek to rest and enjoy the beautiful Pokhara. Kelly the owner is around to make sure everything goes smooth and it does! All the staff is smilling and caring! When we got back after 10 days of trek, it feels like home to return for an other 5 days! The breakfast is just amazing, great choice of both nepalise and continental food to start the day! It's a super clean, eco-friendly, safe place near everything! The perfect spot with a wonderful view on the mountains!

My stay at Hotel Karuna was a time of true peace and relaxation during an otherwise busy conference schedule. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was the best by far of what I had experienced in Nepal. Hot water every time and without having to wait a long time for the hot water to come on. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious and hygienic. I knew I could trust to eat everything they served. The coffee every morning was so delicious and helped me start my day right! One of my favorite experiences at the hotel was the Happy Hour. They serve safe, hygienic, and delicious street food...and it was one of the best things I had eaten in Nepal. It is very close to the lake and many shops without being too close. It was nice to be just far enough away that the noise wasn't too extreme. You won't find a more peaceful and relaxing respite for your time in Pokhara!

Everything was perfect.We stayed four days in this hotel and loved this place.Cozy lobby delicious breakfast hot shower was just spot on. Only disappointment was staff smoking w**d in hotel . Other than this Hotel Karuna is perfect place to relax and will recommend other people to stay this place .

We've found our new home-away-from-home in Pokhara! Pleasant, friendly hotel with a chill vibe and eco-friendly focus. If you know the Juicery cafe on Lakeside, it's a similar feeling. The lobby area/hangout zone is a space you can really feel good just hanging out in - waiting for friends, working on the laptop, having a cup of organic coffee, etc. They're really trying to make the hotel a pleasant experience for folks, and you can see that everywhere - natural fibers, plants on the stairs, turtle outside (kids love this), etc. Also, they shared legitimately insightful suggestions for restaurants etc. Yes, every hotel in a Nepal tourist spot is going to be able to set up tours, give suggestions, etc. - but you can trust their recs to be good ones. Location is central, meaning it's not on the lake (that'd be rare, that's all bars/restaurants) but it's only a short walk down the street to the midpoint of the Lakeside walking area. Very easy to get to wherever you might want to go around Pokhara. Only "word to the wise" is that they don't have coffee in the rooms. They do have 24/7 Karma Coffee (well-known organic local coffee) in cloth Melita filters in the lobby area, which is cool, but "24/7" in wee hours means you'd have to wake up staff or make it yourself. Which you can do; it's all set up right there. So it felt kind of cozy in a "make yourself at home" way. But if you want it in your room, maybe bring your own? (You can heat water in your room. The water is in jars in the hallway, which is good for avoiding plastic waste. I liked that touch. Way too many plastic bottles floating around Nepal, so appreciate the thoughtful approach here!) Good price, too! And get this: When we were there, they were experimenting with a "street food" afternoon happy hour, with hygienic yummies like pani puri and jalebi. Hope they keep that up! Such a great idea!
