The service attitude of hotels in Nepal is very good. Every staff member greets you with a smile and responds to your requests. Orchid Hotel is not far from Phewa Lake and the lively streets, which is convenient for eating, drinking and having fun. The rooms are clean inside and outside, especially the rooms with balconies, which are very comfortable to live in. You can also see the icebergs in the distance, and the scenery is beautiful. There is an elevator. In short, I had a good time and stayed comfortably.

I have stayed in Hotel Orchid multiple times over the past few years and every time I see some improvements. The hotel manager Ramesh is very friendly and helpful. He has arranged us transport from the trek and to Terai. Our hotel room was spacious and had a lovely view of the mountains. Compared to some other hotels in the Lakeside it was super quiet so we had a really good sleep there. Hot shower at all times. Cleansiness has room for improvement but still very decent for the price. I can recommend it.

Staff were lovely. Room was okay. Requested for a room with 2 beds but give a single king bed but staff were so helpful in our request. Bed sheets in the room were a bit dirty. Blanket had some brown stains not sure where that came from. However, still enjoyed my stay and room was decent enough.

I was disappointed based on the reviews I read. The room was spacious but the twin bed was very firm…way too firm for me. The manager was nice and helpful, but the teenage boys working breakfast etc need some help. They didn’t know if breakfast was included, the napkin holder was empty, I had to request milk for my coffee, and the instant coffee self service involved sitting out an almost empty jar of instant and you having to stick your hand far into the jar to get the bottom of the jar. Kind of gross when you realize everyone else has to as well. My breakfast also had a hair on the plate. These are relatively small things, but with so many choices of places to stay, you could do better for about the same price.
