Ibis Styles Poitiers Nord

When we arrived we noticed that there was a Trip Advisor recommendation of "Outstanding" We cannot understand how this can be. The rooms were dingy although clean, no tea/coffee facilities, no comforts at all, the carpet was dirty, the beds well used although the sheets were clean. Dinner was available at the restaurant, the service was good, the food was okay; the breakfast buffet was adequate. We will not be using this hotel again.

Excellent hotel clean, friendly staff. The breakfast was really varied and plentiful with cooked section as well. The waitress cleaning the tables made a very good job of cleaning down good to see that as often it is a quick flip and wipe. Dinner in their restaurant was excellent all freshly cooked and served with a smile and at a reasonable price. Definitely an hotel to support. Why can't all Ibis hotels reach this standard?

We stopped on our way south and it was a perfect place for us. Very easy to access from the motorway, friendly and welcoming staff, spacious and comfortable room with a good-sized shower room and separate loo. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet overnight. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant (as we’d had a long day!) and were very pleased with that too. The restaurant was pretty full, on a Monday evening, but the food was all freshly prepared and the service was quick. Reasonably priced. Continental breakfast in the morning was also good … plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend.

Run by an enthusiastic and helpful team: "upgraded" to a better room on arrival, given the option of paying then or on departure (not really important but a nice change from the frequent "pay before you stay". Spacious room, very clean. Wide variety of products in the breakfast buffet but only a "topping up" service: people searching for items, how to use the coffee/juice machines, egg boiler etc. No complaints overall. Le Patio restaurant was a highlight in terms of quality and service: we will leave a separate review if I can find it on TA＞

We stayed at the Ibis Styles Hotel at the beginning of December 2024. Our room was so cold, 15.7 degrees! We contacted the hotel reception who said that they would turn up the heating - it got to 16 degrees. A second visit to reception to the rude man there and we were informed that there was nothing else to be done. We requested a portable heater but this was denied and so we had to resort to trying to heat the room with the hairdryer! I contacted ********** who I had booked the room with and they directly spoke to the hotel who again declined to turn up the heating. We were very cold if had not been possible to use the shower as it is just so uncomfortable. We contacted Accor Hotels who apologised for our uncomfortable stay and promised that Ibis Styles Poiters Nord would contact us directly. We have heard nothing!

Unhelpful, unfriendly, freezing cold hotel Our stay at ibis Styles Hotel Poitiers Nord would have been good apart from the fact that our room was a very uncomfortable 16 degrees. Two visits to reception to talk to a very unhelpful and unfriendly male receptionist resulted in absolutely nothing - apparently he could do nothing and wasn’t willing to try and find a portable heater. No chance of a room change so all in all a very miserable stay. I won’t be using Ibis Hotels again.
