Prince Kuhio Condo - Steps to the beach!

Great views, but wasn't worth the hassle or cost. The condo is in a good location with access to a small beach across the street and its a short drive from Poipu beach. The pool and gardens are lovely. We ate all our meals on the small lanai, which has a great view of the ocean. We were expecting to have a dishwasher as it was listed in the amenities, however, when we arrived, we noted that there was none. This was pointed out to the owner, along with some other issues we found. She acted surprised and said there never was one, later we checked and magically it was gone from the listing. We also found the unit has a closet but NO dresser for clothes. For the 3 weeks we stayed, we had to live partly out of our suitcase and what we couldn't hang, pile on the kitchen table. The listing also states a capacity for 4, but there is only 1 loveseat in the living area and 2 chairs for the kitchen table and 2 chairs on the Lanai. We were also told there were beach chairs and an umbrella. There were actually 2 umbrellas, which were broken and there was 1 old beach chair. We were happy to find the condo had a small ac unit and a rotating fan. These provided enough white noise, since this unit is at the top of the stairwell and was quite noisy. The owner wasn't easy or friendly to deal with. She said she could refund our money and we could look elsewhere, which wasn't practical, but she did eventually send over a lovely housekeeper to give us dish towels to dry our dishes and beach towels. None of the other issues were addressed.

Perfect location and just right for the two of us. The condo is small but it was perfect for us. You can’t beat the location (limited parking though). The pool is nice. The bed was super comfy. We were sad to leave

Nice spot with some flaws Overall we enjoyed our stay, with a few exceptions. The property is nicely located in Poipu with just a few steps to the beach. Parking is convenient, we never had trouble finding a spot. On our arrival the property was clean but had a few cleaning supply bottles, paint brushes left about. Not a big deal. The biggest note is that the position of the condo is in the stairwell, which is noisy due to foot traffic and is also windy. The stairwell creates a wind tunnel which passes through the louver window blinds on the front door creating a near constant howling/whistling sound that continued through the night. Just a side note, the beach gear (chairs, umbrella) is all broken so make sure to bring your own. In summary, this is a nice condo, conveniently situated and well sized for 2 people, but could use some improvements before I would book again.

Great location This is an outstanding condo in a great location. We really enjoyed the clean, updated space. Would definitely come back again.

February 2024 Stay Loved our stay at the Prince Kuhio Condo. When we arrived it was dark out and we did have some trouble figuring out where we were allowed to park. We also did not realize that we needed to pick up a vehicle tag from the front office. Thankfully we did not have any issues but it would have been nice if the owner would have told us that. The beach across the street is quite small and we spent most of our time at other beaches. We did note that one outlet was missing the outlet cover and another outlet had the whole outlet box hanging out of the wall. The beach gear was very nice to use as well as the travel coffee mugs.

Great Value! This condo is in a great location with a sweet snorkeling spot right across the street. Very clean room & the bed was soco comfortable! The lanai has a great view of the ocean. I highly recommend!
