Rizzo Boutique Hotel

Pro: good location,big room,good food at restaurant Con: lack of heating during evening. Heating starts at 00:30 until 6 in the morning;disaster in sauna and shower in pool area...no shower gel,no recipient for water in sauna

Nice and clean food both at breakfast and ordering in the restaurant was excellent saw bears while there walking in-front of hotel other places to eat close by it was so quiet the spa and pool were spotless close to places of interest you have everything you need

A nice hotel. Set in a forest so nice views. Pool, hot tub and sauna. Good breakfast lots of variety. Vegetarian options at dinner very limited but the local wine is very good! The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. A 15 minute, dark, walk away from amenities. Staff ok, cleaning staff very friendly.

It is not a 4 star hotel. Invasion of cockroaches. At least 20 rooms had cockroaches, rooms checked. Out of 20 people who ate for lunch (03.01.2024), 4 had fara in their food/plate. The staff shrugged... "we have documents that extermination was done", as if cockroaches know a book. To avoid !!!

We stayed here for just three nights as part of a tour. It is quite nice and the staff try to be friendly but there is somewhat of a language barrier which is only to be expected. It is in a good location with only a few amenities in walking distance so you will definately need transport to get anywhere at all. There is a lovely restaurant at another hotel a few minutes walk away but we chose to eat at the Rizzo retaurant as they we much better equipped for allergies. The food was very nice indeed although with a limited menu as they seem to have run out of many items eg the dessert choice of assorted ice creams was only chocolate! Breakfast is quite good but is very limited for allergies, my wife is coeliac and there was very little for her at all so luckily she took her own gluten free porridge. The room is quite good and all that we needed for our stay, not particularly luxurious but adequate for our needs. The hotel advertises a rooftop swimming pool, however it is actually on the lower ground floor and has limited opening times, it did however look quite good.

Staff were friendly and helpful at all stages. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We thought the provided quilt was too thin, but instead it was surprisingly warm. What let the room down was the shower room/toilet. They were old, and definitely in need of replacement. The shower seals were shocking in appearance, with some parts looking as if the sealant was simply smeared on. Also, the hot hair dryer was permanently wired in right behind the basin. The worst of that was the wires to it were fully exposed with the 'earth' cut off. That is surely an electrocution waiting to happen! The in house restaurant was a disappointment all round. The buffet food was tasty, but it was luke warm at best, and plates weren't heated. An a la carte menu provided wasn't available on our stay.
