I chose to stay in Takaka when I returned from Wharariki beach. There were relatively few reviews online and I was hesitant to return to Nelson. The results were very surprising. Highly recommended.

It's a bit of a trek over the Takaka hill but worth it. The beach is stunning and the Park & facilities were excellent. Our Seaview unit had a great view, was comfy, spacious & well equipped (even a Nespresso machine). To top it all off, the bathroom was lovely & the whole unit extremely clean.
