Overall, it was a good hotel, but I wouldn't consider it worthy of a 5-star rating. The room was excellent, especially the bed and the air conditioning. Bathroom was a bit outdated for a hotel claiming to be 5-star. Despite this, both the room and the hotel were clean and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the private beach area in front of the property. It was a great perk to have access to complimentary beach chairs and towels. The surroundings were lovely, and it added to the overall experience. Breakfast was a disappointment considering the size and standard of the hotel. The breakfast selection was limited, and the quality was not up to par. For example, the fruits were not fresh, and there was no freshly squeezed juice available. It fell short of my expectations. The other restaurants within the hotel were quite expensive, and there wasn't much else in terms of dining options within walking distance. Dinner for two persons (main course with wine glasses) was 70+ euros. The Italian restaurant Conlemani offered delicious pasta and risotto dishes and was by far our favourite restaurant, but Gooshter and Port 74 left us disappointed. Gooshter was decent but one time the food we ordered to the beach never came. Port 74 was disappointment because we thought it would be more fine dining based on the advertisements and photos. It would have been convenient to have a shuttle bus service to Split city center, so guests could enjoy dinner or explore the area. Unfortunately, this service was not provided. The distance between the hotel and the center of Split is not long, but can take up to an hour depending on the traffic. In addition, there is a huge difference in the prices of Uber and regular taxis, as Uber costs around 15 euros and a regular taxi costs 30+ euros. In conclusion, the hotel was decent overall, but it would be a bigger disappointment if you tend to use your time exploring the destination and use the hotel mainly for sleeping and breakfast. The true value of the hotel lies in utilizing the beach and other facilities and amenities such as the restaurants, although they come at a highish cost. So if you're looking for a place to relax and take advantage of the amenities, this hotel could be a good choice. However, if you expect a truly 5-star experience in all aspects, you might want to consider other options.

My husband and I had a perfect stay here as part of our 20th anniversary trip. The property was charming and spotless, the room large and quiet, the shower wonderful, and breakfast in the garden patio was delicious. The owners and staff are kind and helpful. They arranged parking in a paid secure lot for us ahead of time and even met us there with the keycard. It was above and beyond what I expected. I appreciated the eco-nature of the hotel: automatic lights in the hallways and stairs as well as selecting breakfast options the night before so no food would be wasted. Our made-to-order food came out hot and delicious. Having the ability to truly control the room's temperature is often rare in our European travels, and was greatly appreciated. It makes such a difference for sleep. The pedestrian street is a quick walk that leads directly to the Silver Gate of Diocletian's palace. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel. We stayed 5 nights. Staff are very helpful and enthusiastic. Pool, restaurant and sun loungers all very close - with beautiful views of the Adriatic. Food at the hotel is excellent - good choice for breakfast and also a la carte evening menu. Places we visited: - Split (local bus - stops outside the hotel) - Omis (local bus the other way to Split). Nice location with a great trip by boat up the river - Local swimming very good close to Hotel Split, with facilities nearby (only a couple of hundred metres away) Thanks to all of the staff for being so helpful.

It is a good option for you if you drive since the hotel is located 15 minutes from Split old town. It is a fair distance to drive to the centre. The hotel is new and clean with a modern interior design of the room which makes it pleasant to stay. The well design of the hotel room makes it feel spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is relatively simple with not much choice but that does not bother us since Split has many great restaurants out there waiting for us. Overall, I am satisfied with this stay and would recommend this hotel since it is clean and beautiful.

This was our 2nd year at Plaza Duće . We returned because we loved it and will return again (more than likely next year) because we would struggle to find anywhere else as lovely. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. They work so hard despite the high temperatures and are always smiling . The hotel is immaculate! The pool is just right . No need to rise early for a sun bed . The beach bar is perfect . Staff also so professional, efficient and super friendly . You do need to pay for sun beds on the beach but around mid day they bring you a cold towel which is such a treat . The food and drinks options by the pool and at the beach were great. The rooms/beds are very comfortable, even a pillow menu is on offer . You need to take a bus or taxi into Omiš but it’s very easy and Omiš is beautiful. Lovely during the day and also at night . Our family of four, (2 adults and 2 teen/tween) loved staying at the bungalows. The accommodation is simple but clean and the location is perfect for an unforgettable holiday. The beach is a five min walk, it’s stunning and never too busy. It’s a nice 10 minute stroll along the seafront to the town where there are lots of lovely restaurants by the harbour. The location is the perfect base for a holiday. It’s near the ferry for a day trip to Split and there are regular buses to lovely locations such as Bol. It felt very safe and friendly, we’d definitely recommend the Waterman Bungalows for a wonderful holiday
