Premier Inn Plymouth (Sutton Harbour)

The staff was brilliant at helping us along our way. Seriously my only slight negative about the stay is maybe the parking a Ali less for hotel guest, not enough disabled bays for visitors and guests

I know that with Premier Inns you get what you pay for but I've been using the chain for over a decade now and seen the level of service fall considerably. On my recent trip I was particularly disappointed with the following: *The hand towel supplied was obviously ageing and had a sizeable hole in it. *The carpets although vacuumed were in need of a deep cleaning. *The complementary beverages are now in a plastic box. No decaf coffee sachets and all limited to just two of each. I must say that additional supplies were freely available in reception. *I wasn't too keen on the glass mugs supplied and no glasses. *The service in the bar was appalling, a number of residents left without being served. Overall to be honest I've stayed in better Travel Lodges.

After checking in we were told the lift was out of order - this proved problematic as my husband is disabled with heart failure and having had heart surgery, stairs prove difficult and as our room was on the 3rd (top) floor he had to climb 6 flights of stairs. There was also a disturbance requiring two police cars and an ambulance. We had to ask for a towel as there was only one provided even though the booking was for 2 people. The breakfast was cold even though it was made to order (not self-service). Overall this was the worst stay I have had in a Premier Inn.

Stayed at Sutton Harbour on the 22/2/25. On getting back to the hotel late that night I found I had lost my phone. Caroline a member of the night team was on duty and I can’t say how amazing she was . I tried phoning my phone someone answered Caroline spoke to them for me and asked them to hand my phone into a member of staff. Caroline contacted the venue where my phone had been handed in and spoke to them on my behalf. In the morning there was a letter under our door with all the details of who she had spoken to , all the contact details of the venue and what to do next. Well would like Caroline to know I have had my phone returned and truly believe if it wasn’t for Caroline’s help and understanding I would still be without my phone . My worst ever experience of Wifi in any UK hotel I have used. Took over 6 minutes to download an email and that was on the upgraded Ultimate Wifi package. What really annoyed was finding out they have had the problem for 2 months but didn’t give any warning before arrival!! Also, upgrade isn’t due for another two months!! Absolutely appalling.

Nice hotel but the WiFi was none existent and having a autistic child and no WiFi he was distressed at not having anything much he could use , we were waiting on some important emails too I,the issue was mentioned to a manager and he clearly knew the WiFi wasn’t up to standard
