Travelodge Plymouth

I recently stayed at the Travelodge Plymouth and had a generally positive experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the city. However, if you're a light sleeper, be aware that rooms on the first floor can be quite noisy due to music from the bars below. If possible, request a higher floor for a quieter stay. Overall, a good option for a short stay in Plymouth.

Fantastic value for money in a great location for visiting Plymouth

Brilliant location, close to everything. I found the hotel to be very quiet compared to my usual go to in Plymouth. This will now be my go to, including 2 weeks in December. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great. Excellent value for money. Later checkout than most - 12 noon. Absolutely recommend. Thank you 😀

Two weeks ago, I booked a room at the Plymouth Travelodge for a few employees of mine that were working in the area. Firstly, one of the employees is physically disabled and the front desk staff were not helpful at describing the specific type of accessibility available on site (I asked if there was a roll-in/step free shower for a wheelchair user and was told 'there is a shower'). It was only when I contacted the Travelodge general accessibility team that I received that answer. I ended up putting this employee up in a different local hotel, the Copthorne, who had an incredibly kind and helpful staff. Then, I heard from one of my employees that on her final night in the hotel a random man entered her room with his keycard (presumably intended for a different room) at 1am wearing only his underpants. This was a young women travelling alone, obviously utterly appalling, not to mention frightening. My employee immediately went to the reception staff where she was told 'it happens sometimes'. If you are looking for a room that will be private and secure - the one thing every hotel should guarantee - DO NOT stay here. I have been in conversation with Travelodge about this issue and have received hardly any sympathy nor a proper solution, this is a huge violation and breach of trust.
