Rooms are spacious and nicely-decorated. We had views out over the bay. Large double bed was very comfortable. There's a mini fridge, reasonable size TV, some open storage. Bathroom is spacious and well put together with a good shower. Rooms are well sound-insulated. The only disturbance is from the heavy doors which are difficult to close without making a racket. There's an on-site restaurant which we didn't use, and a fitness room with treadmill, exercise bike, and various other machines for those that know what to do with them. Plenty of on-site parking. Location is good for exploring the area. There's a few shops and restaurants in the nearby town, although if you want to eat anywhere in the evening it's probably worth booking in advance as there aren't that many places and they tend to close pretty early even in high season. The GR34 coastal path is right outside the hotel so you can take a walk along the north side of the tidal bay beside the salt marshes. Our only complaint is that one of our rooms suffered from an unpleasant smell from the drainage system. We were moved to another room, but in my opinion the original room was not fit to be rented out to guests. Hotel management should have fixed the problem properly (not just with cleaning products) or closed that room permanently.

The price of our room - 155 euros - seemed high for what it was - certainly not large and whilst the view was good (across the marshes towards the sea) it was by no means exceptional for Brittany, where there are good views round so many corners. We felt disappointment when we opened the door, which says much. On the other hand, the welcome is excellent and we really enjoyed our time at the bar chatting to the staff, especially the Commodore. Good selection of wines by the glass. The reception opens late, which is another plus. Sleep quality was good, very quiet. There are good walks to be had around the marshes and bird lovers will think this place excellent I suspect, but we thought the sea was rather further away than the hotel description suggests. Good, safe parking, largely occupied by around fifty fifty-plus (age) bikers enjoying a long weekend and showing off their gleaming BMWs. If the hotel had been rather cheaper it would have been a good find. As it was...
