The location on the beach offers stunning views, while the attentive staff provides excellent service. Guests appreciate the comfortable bedding and spacious rooms with sea views. Decor is slightly dated but well maintained.

We had an exceptional three days here in May. The hotel is wonderfully situated on a long beach and we were delighted to join the strollers and families in the evening sunshine. Our room overlooked the sea; it was spotless and had every comfort, including a plate of freshly prepared fruit and Breton biscuits to welcome us. We ate twice in the restaurant and both meals were delicious, especially the foie gras and the fish fresh from the day's catch. The staff are unfailingly attentive and kind.

Stayed for 2 nights, the hotel is right on the beach, newly renovated, very stylish. Ate in the restaurant 2 nights, the food was delicious, very elegant & we enjoyed it ver much. I would recommend their gastronomic package.

Highly recommendable for guests who love a secluded luxurious getaway surrounded by beautiful nature (huge sandy beach, fabulous sunset). The friendly staff and the spacious room with sea view add to a feeling of a home away from home.

We have been privileged to stay in hundreds of hotels over half a century plus of enthusiastic travels. Nowadays almost all hotels offer some value and effort to be good innkeepers. But only a very small percentage rise to the very top tier. Like the very best of musicians, who make you feel the music in a transcendent way, these hotels have extraordinary charm and make you feel you are in a special place. I have been around long enough to know there is plenty of hard work behind the scenes. With a century of hospitality and a longstanding four generation family stewardship in place, there are many nice touches which seem to be disappearing from the hotel business. The rooms and public spaces are full of art work, furniture and mementos that would be ruled out by many business accountants, but in a way this is a home as well as a hotel. Freshly squeezed orange juice, really good and strong coffee (somewhat of a rarity in France) served in Limoges china cups, a superior breakfast buffet make a great impression. The dining room and dinners are a cause for celebration. It is nice to have a real waiter, and not just a server. Ownership has a real and active presence, not just a distant investment. Here I am in the fourth paragraph, and just getting around to saying the setting is peaceful, beautiful and a real oasis. This is our fifth, all very nice hotels, so far on this long trip=and clearly our first choice to return. Bravo and brava.

This hotel is more than a hotel. It's just an experience. Nothing too fancy but also not too simple. I really have no complaints. I stayed in two different rooms while there because of full occupancy. Rooms are very nice and beds are incredibly comfortable. I slept so well. All products are Clarins (if one cares about that sort of thing. It was a very nice surprise to me.) But what really makes this place a gem - aside from its ideal location - are the staff and owners. I felt seen and heard and catered to in a way that was not over-the-top. The food was also excellent and let me also add that their pool was an added bonus. It was heated to my liking. We stayed as a family for one week during the heatwave across all of Europe - except for this place. It was incredibly enjoyable. The service was also just above and beyond! We've already held rooms for next summer!

Superbly located for a quiet getaway overlooking a splendid beach and countryside. The hotel proudly boasts its Relais & Château membership, but it falls short on standards in so many ways. The restaurant is good and the chef offers some excellent quality well sourced options and the dishes we sampled were excellent. Service was pleasant and they made an extra effort to make us feel welcomed. But away from the restaurant and everything seems so very different. The rooms are in need of some serious updating and the bathrooms need a complete overhaul. No amount of Clarins complimentary amenities will make up for some of the outdated bathroom fixtures and fittings. Creaky laminated flooring covered with a dirty rug in the main bedroom just adds to the sense that this is not the standard of other R&C properties. Lastly, service in the bar. If I’m going to pay €6.oo for a small bottle of 1664, I want my beer in a crack free glass, and not have to wait 15mins for someone to serve. The bar is in a prime position for passing non resident trade but it is seldom staffed and has ridiculously high prices, €8.oo for a cup of tea. We saw people come in and then walk out because of poor service. Breakfast is an eye-watering €22.oo per head per night and although a limited offering is good quality. We’ve stayed in many Relais & Château hotels around the world, and are great fans. However Hotel De La Plage, doesn’t compare with the others.

La prestation générale n'est pas à la haute du label Relais & Châteaux malgré la très belle situation de l'établissement et un personnel agréable. Rapport qualité/prix déséquilibré.
