Fantastic Hotel in the perfect location. Near the main drag (5th), far enough from the riff raft, 3 blocks from the beach, clean, cute, and great service. Reasonably priced and included tasty breakfast. I would recommend for the price. Stairs, no elevator and at times slow internet.

The hotel was perfect from the start, with friendly staff and easy check in process. The rooms are beautiful in a casa style and not generic. We thought the food was excellent! All round we highly recommend la semilla and will come back again I’m sure.

This hotel really is an oasis of calm. The decor is gorgeous, the staff were so nice and the breakfast was the most unique and delicious I’ve ever had at any hotel! I can’t recommend this place enough the perfect place to stay if you want a relaxed vibe. Thank you

my partner and i stayed at hotel la semilla for 5 nights in late march/early april. we absolutely loved it. the hotel is intimate and charming, full of little details. its located on beautiful tree lined street a few blocks from the ocean. we stayed in suite with a large balcony which we sat on daily. it technically overlooked the neighboring restaurant but it still felt very private. my favorite part of our stay was the breakfast. we had a different meal prepared every day along side fresh fruit, juice and coffee. the chef even kindly accommodated my husbands vegan diet which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. we hope to come back and stay again soon.

What a gem! Hotel La Semilla feels like a little piece of eden that happens to be right in the centre of Playa del Carmen. The staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfast delicious, and the room spacious and comfortable. Don't miss the opportunity to sit in the garden at the back of the hotel and enjoy a beer to relax. We loved our stay at Hotel LaSemilla! It is in a great location on 38th street by fun restaurants and the beach. The staff was amazing and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated. One of the best things was the homemade breakfast each morning with a different Mexican entree everyday! Also the roof top patio and courtyard are beautiful and great to hang out in! Thanks for a wonderful stay in Playa Del Carmen would recommend to anyone!

WARNING! DO NOT BOOK HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! It is not possible to sleep at all. The accommodation is surrounded by party places and bars, and the music is loud until dawn. The room has no soundproofing whatsoever, so you can practically hear everything that goes on in the street. You wake up at 7am to the sound of shakes in the restaurant next door. It's impossible to rest. The garden is nice and the breakfast is good, but the room is small, there is no proper wardrobe, no toilet brush, the hot water goes out regularly and there is an old air conditioner that made my throat close up. The rooms are not cleaned, the towels are not changed. Furthermore, the advertised free parking is not available. You can find much better value for money accommodation in Playa del Carmen for a third of the price. We left after the first night due to the above conditions and wrote to the manager for a refund for the remainder of our stay, but he refused to respond. Absolutely avoid it if you want to relax.
