C’était un hôtel magnifique. Les réceptionniste étaient très très accueillant et très à l’écoute de nos besoins. Le ménage a été fait tous les jours dans notre chambre. C’était splendide. L’emplacement est parfait, et la piscine est très agréable ni trop froide ni trop chaude. Parfaite pour le temps.
Je reprendrai cet hôtel si je reviens à Playa Del Carmen.
Le rapport qualité prix est imbattable à un emplacement aussi près de la mer.
Je ne comprend d’ailleurs pas les commentaires négatifs sur cet hôtel !

Bref un sans-faute pour notre part…

Really nice hotel. Basic rooms. AC nice and quiet. No outside noise. As for breakfast better go outside. Restaurant that serves breakfast very disorganized, you will waste a lot of time. Hotel itself is nice and very clean.

My stay was for only 2 days. You have to go to the front desk to ask for shampoo because they don’t put it in the room. The staff is very friendly but have very limited English, but they try to help.

Just left Hotel Colonial after a 7 night stay. Everyone at the hotel from the people that worked behind the desk, to the Security Guard (Abraham), to the maids, all were so friendly and helpful and all treated me like a VIP (which I'm not!) Basic room, but a king sized bed, refrigerator, a/c, great water pressure, room safe, and tv. I couldn't find any English speaking channels, but I wasn't there to watch tv, so really not an issue. Food carts right around the corner on Calle 2. Fifth Avenue 3 blocks away. El Fogon, on Avenida 30 a 5 minute walk. Walmart & Mega app a 10-12 walk (max). I didn't use the pool, but it was very big and right behind the lobby, looked great. No elevators, but I was only 1 floor up so no issues for me. I would stay at Hotel Colonisl again without hesitation.

The same day as I needed a stay, I made a reservation (approximately 8PM). Only after I made the reservation was I informed that the check-in period ended at 6 PM. When I tried to call them to explain the circumstances, no one answered the phone. I called and called and called, but no one answered. It was pure luck that I was able to find an alternative place to stay, but the reservation was nonrefundable. It's a good thing they didn't require my card information, because I would have reported the charges as fraudulent.

loved the area and hotel staff and very cute hotel.visited during chris**as and noticed the sun does not hit the courtyard or pool so you really cant swim unless you like it cold and you need to walk to beach to tan. did not appreciate the constant door slamming that just did not seem to stop from guest's but thats not the hotels fault. we bought ear plugs for that. all in all..we loved this small hotel

Our valuable properties were stolen by their workers and they did not help us at all. Terrible hotel, never come to this one!

Suitable location and has a fair price-benefit.
Cannot use the pool since they use it for scuba diving training. So not available.

Excellent value at the Colonial. Super clean spacious air conditioned rooms with a powerful shower, and a big screen TV. Pool area is spotless and attractive! Will stay here again!
