I cannot say enough good things, the property was beautiful! The cleanliness was remarkable. The staff is just amazing, they go out of their way to make you happy. The food was mediocre but everything else was so amazing it didn’t even bother me! The beach was beautiful and the pools are awesome! I will be back for sure!!!

This was our third time at Riu Palace and it never disappoints! Fantastic service and great accommodations! Will be back again! Santos in the pool bar was the BEST!!

Food was good, beach was great with nothing but sand as deep as you could walk into the ocean. Bar drinks were good as was the service

The RIU is one of many resorts located in the secure area of Playcar which is in Playa del Carmen. Safe and fun. I highly recommend the RIU's

Restaurant weren't that great. Breakfast was the only highlight. Drinks weren't great either. Nothing was flavourful.

The only drawback was having a room located
Above the entertainment theatre which was loud. The room was beautiful though. We asked to be relocated which was a much quieter room. Food selections were incredible. I love healthy eating and was able to do that. We will be back!

Beautiful property that has an absolutely stunning beach. Lots of loungers are available on the beach but a little harder to find one by the pool. The pools are small and busy. The resort is extremely clean and rooms are very modern. Rooms have an open concept so there is little to no privacy between the main part of the room and the shower/bath tub area. Just something to be aware of if travelling with family. The food is very good here and reservations are not required for the a la carte restaurants. This resort is located in the gated community of Playacar. Although there is no shopping in the hotel (only 1 small store with a few items that are very expensive) just a few minutes within walking distance is a large market which includes a 7-11 store and a Starbucks. Lastly, I cannot say enough about the staff at this resort. They were accommodating, helpful, kind, and always smiling. All of the staff went the extra mile to make everyones holiday special.
