Bloom! Exclusive Boutique b&b

Absolutely favourite place to stay in Playa del Carmen. This beautiful B&B is great value for money. I've been travelling the world but nowhere else I've found such a delicious breakfast like the ones prepared lovingly by Francis every day. Francis is an amazing host, not only as a chef but also because he really cares about his guests, gives good advice and, among other things, organizes transports. The rooms are very clean and the terrace on which the delicious breakfasts are served is beautiful and decorated with love for detail. Another plus: the location; just a short walk from everything (good restaurants, beach, shopping mall etc.) and very quiet at night which together with the excellent beds make it for a great night sleep. A peaceful oasis in Playa -highly recommend!

Fantastic B&B. I really enjoyed my stay over there. Francis is a very charming host whose breakfasts are delicious. Its' location is perfect : at only a 10 minutes from the beach and the shopping center. You will never be bored: there is a lot do/visit : Tulum (Maya site) only at 60 km , Cancun at only 75 km you can go snorkeling etc. Anyhow Francis provides you with all the necessary information. Important also is that the B&B is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood with some nice and cheap restaurants at walking distance. The rooms are beautifully decorated and I slept very well in the comfortable bed. Finally for those who appreciate a good glass of wine : I can recommend the rose wine that is available in the fridge of your room!

Our visit to Bloom was an exceptional experience making you feel at ease the moment you walk in. This is not a homogenized resort with the usual front desk greeting and rarely seeing the same staff twice, it's a personalized hello with a big, warm and inviting smile from the owner who is noticeably proud of Bloom (as he should be!). The breakfast is outstanding, offering a variety of colors and flavors that cater to all tastes. Each dish was prepared to perfection, combining fresh ingredients with creative presentation showing a true passion for their craft. What really sets Bloom apart is its ability to create a memory. From the clean and well-appointed room to the terrific morning coffee on the patio. All quiet, safe and very walkable to nearly everything you want to experience in Playa Del Carmen. Shortly after our 2 night stay at Bloom we spent the remainder of the week at the Fairmont Mayakoba and while that is truly a 5 star experience, I found myself missing the personal connection we had at Bloom. Playa Del Carmen has many options to consider and if you are reading this review it's because you want something different and are likely worried about being disappointed. DON'T BE!!! Come stay at Bloom, sleep well, wake up welcomed, and experience something completely new. Our stay at Bloom Exclusive Boutique B&B was wonderful! We stayed there for 3 nights during our roundtrip in Yucatan. Bloom is perfectly located in Playa del Carmen. Just outside the busy center, but everything is within walking distance. From here you can also easily visit the island of Cozumel (wonderful for diving). Our host Francis gave many practical tips. Francis' breakfast is the best we tasted in Mexico. Varied and adapted to our wishes. We can definitely recommend this B&B!

The host is a super creepy guy named Francis which will complain on every single thing you ask of him, so don't you dare show dissatisfaction or he will shame you on ***********. We told him we got engaged, and he blamed us for "Trying to get a discount". When we complained about the room, he blamed us for "Trying to get an upgrade". Here's the story: We were shown two rooms, the one (Which we ordered) suffered from renovation noise, and the other didn't have a working light. Both rooms smelled terribly of mold. When confronted about the smell, rather than acknowledging the issue and offering an alternative or a discount, the manager shrugged it off and asked if we wanted to pay more for a better room. The hotel has a nice rooftop area, but the jacuzzi was cold. Also, the rooms work with fingerprints which is a bit gimmicky and tedious to set up. Others might like it, I don't. P.S there's no reserved parking, so if you're arriving with a car be prepared to pay for street parking.

Sweet little place just a couple of blocks from the main ***** in Playa. My favorite restaurant in Playa is a 10 min walk! The place was clean and felt very safe. The owner was friendly and informative. Would absolutely stay here again. :)
