Riu Playacar - All Inclusive

Stayed for 2 weeks at the end of September, our first visit to Mexico and had a great time. When we arrived at the hotel we got a welcome drink and the staff on the front desk were friendly and gave us our keys and the cards to collect our pool towels. The bedroom was spotlessly clean, very spacious, a well-stocked mini bar, and plenty of towels to use in the bathroom. The safe was free to use and also in the bedroom was an umbrella and an iron and ironing board. The balcony had plenty of room to sit out and a small drying rack which would have been better if it was slightly bigger as you cannot hang anything over the balcony. The pool area was large, the pool to the right of the bar was the noisier pool as that's where the activities took place however if you don't want to join in and have a quieter holiday then the pool to the left is far enough away. The staff from the bar come around the pool taking your orders and also come around with a trolley to make your drinks at your sunbed. The first week we were there you could go down later and get a sunbed, however the second week people seemed to put their towels on very early and we found there was a party of about 18 that put towels on but very rarely actually used the beds, so we had to get up early to get a bed which wasn't really a bad thing as we got the early morning sun before it got too hot. All the staff were very friendly, and the entertainment team were great a big shout out to Mauricio (hope that's how you spell it) as he always had a smile on his face and was definitely born for the job. The evening entertainment is good we also visited the Riu Tequilla at night especially on the Friday nights for neon night and white night which were fantastic and worth a visit. The food was excellent and always plenty of choice, wine and prosecco was always flowing with lunch and the evening meal and nothing was too much trouble for them. If you didn't want to go in for lunch then there is Pepes who does burgers, hotdogs, salad etc that you can sit on your sunbed and eat. We had great holiday and will definitely be returning.

The hotel is an older hotel. The location is great for access to the beach and walk around 5th Ave. The bartenders and the travel shop/scuba shop were great the hotel maintenance and front desk staff were not the best. We did have issues with our rooms and they were fixed eventually except the king room that we booked was not available and we had to share a double bed. Iit’s an older hotel with musty smells and stuck drawers. The pool closed early on a Saturday night (8pm) but the mariachi/karaoke can play until 11pm and the noise will carry into the room. The kelp on the beach is filled with sand fleas and we came home with over 100 sand flea bites between the 5 of us. The buffet was ok but not worth $45 per day per person.

Stayed 3 nights. It is about 10-15 minutes by taxi from the city center. The reasonable price as of May 2019 is 200Bs. When you visit, 300Bs was taken, so please be careful if you have a suitcase. There are not so many restaurants, but the food offered seems to change daily. Dinner can be enjoyed at restaurants that require a bit formal reservation, buffet style restaurants, and teppanyaki restaurants that are limited to the day of the week. There was also a restaurant where you can eat snacks. We did not use room service, but it seemed to be so. All the dishes we ate in the hotel were delicious. During the GW period I visited, a large amount of algae was generated and I could not enter the sea, but the sand was white and very beautiful. I think there are two large pools, a children's pool, and a bath-like pool. Many of the staff are friendly and I think I was able to speak almost in English. The staff of the lobby travel agent was not that kind. Because there was bath in room and view was good, we were able to spend comfortably. It is hotel where we want to stay at again.

From start to finish, the experience at Ocean Riviera Paradise El Beso was simply outstanding. The resort itself is beautiful, with immaculately maintained grounds. But what really stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by the employees, particularly Miroslava, Rafael, Timu, Jorge (from the trolly), Mijael (bartender), and Francisco!! As mentioned, the employees at Ocean Riviera Paradise El Beso that truly make the resort stand out and made our time there absolutely AMAZING are Miroslava, Rafael, Timu, Jorge (from the trolly), Mijael (bartender), and Francisco! Here are some more positives about their exceptional service: * They are incredibly knowledgeable about the resort and the surrounding area. They were always happy to provide recommendations for activities, restaurants, and local attractions, and they seemed genuinely invested in ensuring that we had a wonderful time! * They were dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring that we felt valued and appreciated. They clearly take pride in their work and went out of their way to make sure that every guest had a personalized and memorable experience. * They are warm, friendly, and approachable. They are always available to answer questions or offer assistance, but never intrusive or pushy. * They are professional, and they take their jobs very seriously. They are punctual, reliable, and always strived to exceed guest expectations. Overall, these employees at Ocean Riviera Paradise El Beso are truly exceptional. Their dedication to providing outstanding service and ensuring that guests have a wonderful time is evident in everything they do. I can't speak highly enough of them and their commitment to making the resort a truly special place. Please do ensure this feedback is shared with them all. THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME TIME GUYS!!! You made the trip super awesome and we are super grateful to have met you all. - Adrian (NYC)

This time I stayed in two five-star all-inclusive hotels in Cancun, and the other one was the famous Hotel Xcaret Mexico ( hereinafter referred to as X). Compared with the hardware facilities and scenery of X, I recommend this Chinese tourist who is not familiar with Q. ) We went for Christmas, Q Hotels are less than half the price of X Hotels (of course X Hotels include amusement park tickets, not worth the price), not far from Xcaret Water Park. Environment: Q is a very special hotel, like living in the Amazon jungle in harmony with animals, peacocks leisurely walk next to the room, on the side of the road, luck will fly to the balcony railing of the room for you to observe up close; People with a heart can also see howler monkeys, giant turtles, lizards... People who are afraid of animals don't have to worry about being suddenly frightened, except that birds are basically surrounded in fixed areas. Landscape: The largest cafeteria in Q is next to a sinking garden, and one or two people choose a location close to the railings to eat. X is the garden and Q is the jungle. Food & beverage services: Q Hotel has a feeling of being at home, the waiter is more happy and easy-going, the wine is open to drink, the buffet is fresh and there are many, basically no waiting, usually not seafood (it is said to protect the sea), Christmas day big lobster, oysters eat, not stingy at all. In contrast, the waiters at the X Hotel are all feeling of taking money and money for people to eliminate disasters. There are not many people in the buffet and they have to wait. Looking at the place, there are actually few ways to eat and drink. Activities: The beach is an open beach and does not smell the fishy smell of other hotel reviews. For me, if there is a sea, the swimming pool is superfluous, but there are often atmosphere activities organized by the hotel in the swimming pool and the beach, and there are unlimited cocktails. There are parachutes and motorboats for various charges. It is recommended to sign up for snorkeling at the hotel when the weather is clear (around fifty knives), I saw turtles and lizards.

1 star - Please read if you care for your credit history and money. I worked in the travel industry and often travel a few times a year. My fiancé and I upgraded to the “privilege” rooms paying $420USD. Allow me to list the issues 1) The room was not fully stocked and we had to have room service come again to stock the bar 2) Hairdryer did not work 3) The Jaccuzi in the bathtub was leaking and we had Maintenance fix it the next day (I have videos) 4) Upgrading gives you a wine bottle. We didn’t get this until the next day AND no wine glasses 5) Room was dirty and not cleaned properly all the days and basics missing like tissues and etc What was the point of paying this much for an upgrade? The butler didn’t even schedule my ride back from the room to the lobby for check out time although she promised to. Here is when it gets worse!!! KEEP reading please They gave us a sales presentation to become a member with them. 10,000USD. I asked them not to a hard inquiry on my credit and they did. They lied and not no one from the company is responding to me. I emailed them to cancel my agreement and everyone is bouncing me back and forth. The director of sales Roger and the sales representative Ray are scammers. They are not willing to resolve any issue with doing a hard check on my credit or compensation. I want both Roger and Ray to fix my credit with the company and provide compensation for this horrible experience. I will write my experience and reviews everywhere until my issues are resolved.
